Alpha Dog also provides exercise programs for dogs that are convenient for their humans. Alpha Dog Events & Activities is all about DOGS! Our dogs, your dogs, the local community of dogs. Our logo is an ode to Mattingly, our 2nd Pit Bull, and perhaps the greatest dog I've ever encountered. He was the motivation for this business, so why not make him the face as well. And what a face! es to run and play with other dogs, and has been my personal exercise program since he joined our family in the spring of 2015. For me, that was 53 pounds ago, and dropping! Hiking, ball play, and since 2021, Lure Coursing. Mattingly turns 10 this year and he's slowing down. His little step-sister, Taylor is the face you see in our Lure Coursing pics, and on our Lure Coursing poster. She is nothing like Mattingly personality-wise, but she is the fastest thing I've seen on 4 legs. So much so that we're taking AKC Events like Lure Coursing and F-CAT (I know, means nothing, right?) and rebranding them into exercise programs and competitive events that will help dogs get the exercise they need while providing the convenience that humans require in this busy post-pandemic world. Follow us on social media and consider making your dog a member of the Alpha Dog 's Run Activities & Events Club...or Alpha Dog Club for short. We're a new business in the dog world, but we've been dog people our whole lives. We play with them, nurture them, travel with them, and couldn't think of a life without them. We’re happy to officially announce that Alpha Dog Fun Runs will be part of the 5th Annual PawPawLooza at Pleasant Paws Pet Center in Newtown! 🐾🎉

📍 Saturday, June 13th
⏰ 11AM–3PM

We had the chance to tour the facility yesterday and all we can say is… WOW. What an incredible space, amazing team, and awesome atmosphere for both pets and owners. We’re beyond excited to bring the Alpha Dog Fun Runs to this event and see all the pups in action!

Alpha Dog Events will be open to the public from 2PM–6:30PM at the First Congregational church, across from the Madison Farmers Market!

This past weekend was packed for Alpha Dog. Nonstop events, great people, and even better dogs, but we’re not slowing down anytime soon.

Coming up this weekend, we’re teaming up with Land & Sea Newfoundland Training Group for a 2-day Camp & Train event. And yes, the Alpha Dog lure course will be there both days, giving dogs a chance to run, chase, and burn some energy in a safe, controlled environment.

If you’re looking for a fun, active weekend for your dog, this is the place to be.

What a day at the Westport Dog Fest! 🐾

Huge thank you to the Westport-Weston Chamber of Commerce for hosting such an amazing event and bringing together so many dogs, families, and local businesses for a great day in the community.

We loved meeting everyone, seeing all the pups, and being part of such an awesome atmosphere! We’ve got a packed lineup of events coming up throughout May and June, so make sure you come out and see us at the next one. 👀🐶

Busy weekend ahead for Alpha Dog!

We’re kicking things off today at Bark Market, then heading straight into a packed weekend at both the Westport Dog Fest hosted by Westport-Weston Chamber of Commerce and Choice Pet, and the Glens Falls Pet Fest hosted by Downtown Glens Falls. Three events, lots of dogs, and even more great conversations with fellow pet lovers.

If you’re out and about, come say hi, bring your pup, and stop by our setup—we’ll be sharing what we’re up to and connecting with the community all weekend long.
