Why do we call our initial session a “Successful Start Session” instead of a consultation?

The short answer is: we care about each and every dog and person who enters our facility. No matter what, you will be heard, believed and supported. You will go home knowing more about your dog and what you can start doing right away to improve your dog’s behavior!

Our Successful Starts take place in our living room area at the facility, which provides your dog with a calmer, low pressure environment and comfortable places to rest. You will have the opportunity to share everything on your mind plus any and all questions you have. Megan, our owner and head trainer, will give you insights into your dog’s behavior, teach you how to start changing unwanted behaviors, and provide you with more information about who we are and how our unique program works.

Why do members leave the membership? Sometimes it’s because they’ve reached their goals, but for others only a move across the country could pull them away from our community!

Off leash training starts way before your recall, especially if your dog has a history of reactivity and Big Feelings about things in the world! When you plan your off leash training sessions don’t forget these important skills:
- Unclipping the leash is an automatic cue to check in with the handler
- A dropped or dragging leash doesn’t change what you are doing as a team
- Getting “caught” and reclipped is a GREAT thing and doesn’t always mean the fun is over!
