🔍 🐾 It's Check the Chip Day! Time to Make Sure Your Pet's Microchip Info is Up-to-Date!
Step 1: Find the Microchip Number
- Check your pet's paperwork from the vet/shelter
- Look for a 9-15 digit number (usually starts with 900, 985, or 956)
- Don't have it? Any vet or shelter can scan your pet to get the number
Step 2: Use the Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool
- Go to www.aaha.org/petmicrochiplookup
- Enter your pet's microchip number
- This FREE tool searches ALL major registries at once!
Step 3: Update Your Info
- The lookup will show which registry your chip is registered with
- Contact that registry directly to update your contact info
