Behind every smooth appointment, every answered call, and every calm moment in the chaos—there’s a rockstar at our front desk 💙

Our veterinary receptionists are the heart of our hospital. They’re the first friendly voice you hear when you call, the warm smile that greets you at the door, and the steady hand guiding everything behind the scenes. From juggling phones and scheduling to comforting worried pet parents and keeping our day running on track—they truly do it all.

Their compassion, patience, and dedication never go unnoticed. They advocate for your pets, support our team, and somehow manage to keep it all together (even on the busiest days).

We couldn’t do what we do without them—and we wouldn’t want to. 🐾

If you’ve ever had a great experience with our front desk team, give them a little love in the comments—we think they deserve it!

HAPPY VETERINARY RECEPTIONIST WEEK TO OUR GIRLS!!!! We appreciate all that you do!!

💐 Spring is finally here—longer days, fresh air, and more time outside with our pets! But along with the sunshine comes a few hidden hazards that every pet owner should keep on their radar 👀

🌼 Seasonal Allergies
Just like us, pets can suffer from allergies this time of year. Watch for itching, licking, red skin, or ear infections.

🪻 Toxic Plants & Flowers
Beautiful spring blooms like tulips, daffodils, and lilies can be dangerous (even deadly) if ingested—especially for cats.

🐜 Fleas, Ticks & Heartworms
Warmer weather means parasites are back in full swing. Make sure your pet is up to date on prevention!

🌱 Lawn & Garden Chemicals
Fertilizers, w**d killers, and mulch (especially cocoa mulch) can be harmful if walked on or eaten.

🐝 Bees & Bug Bites
Curious pets love to chase buzzing things—but stings can cause swelling, pain, or allergic reactions.

🚪 Open Doors & Escape Artists
With nicer weather, doors and windows are open more often—make sure your pet’s ID tags and microchips are current!

🌸 A little awareness goes a long way in keeping your pets safe this spring! If you notice anything unusual or have questions about prevention, don’t hesitate to give us a call 304-645-3550—we’re always here to help.

🐶🐱 Stay safe, enjoy the sunshine, and give your pets an extra belly rub from us! 💛

🌷🐣 Easter Weekend Pet Safety Reminder 🐾💐

Easter is a beautiful time to celebrate with family, friends… and of course our furry companions! But it also comes with a few hidden hazards for pets. Here are some things to keep an eye on this weekend:

🐰 Chocolate & Candy
Chocolate is toxic to dogs and cats, and sugar-free candies (especially those with xylitol) can be extremely dangerous. Keep all Easter baskets out of reach!

🌸 Easter Lilies & Spring Plants
Lilies are highly toxic to cats—even small exposures can be life-threatening. Many other spring plants can cause stomach upset too, so be cautious with bouquets and decorations.

🥚 Plastic Eggs & Basket Fillers
Plastic eggs, fake grass, and small toys can be choking hazards or cause intestinal blockages if swallowed.

🍖 Table Scraps & Fatty Foods
Rich holiday foods can lead to vomiting, diarrhea, or even pancreatitis. It’s best to stick to your pet’s regular diet.

🐾 Guests & Stress
Extra visitors and activity can be overwhelming for some pets. Make sure they have a quiet, safe space to retreat to if needed.

If you think your pet may have gotten into something they shouldn’t, don’t wait—give us a call right away!

Wishing you and your pets a safe, happy, and healthy Easter weekend! 💛🐶🐱
