Mittens full of kittens! Could there be anything better?

These sweet little ones are Gabriel, Mycah, and Top Dollar. They are 4 weeks old today and being fostered by Joanne. Their mom was feral, and has been trapped, spayed and vaccinated (TNR). She has a caregiver now, and will live a much better life.

As we close veterinary receptionist week, we give ourselves another moment to reflect on how much our amazing front desk team do for our team, our patients, and our pet parents!

No two days at the front desk are the same, and you can guarantee they’re always multi tasking. They’re the very definition of “fast paced job” and they make it look easy! That’s when you know it’s done well.

Thank you! We appreciate all that you do. 🤍🐾

Today is “Tomi Tuesday”!

This is Tomi, our amazing groomer. That’s Bruce next to her. He’s also amazing.

Each week we will be covering some do’s and don’ts when it comes to grooming, bathing, brushing and beautifying your pets!

Here’s a little about Tomi….

Q:How long have you been grooming?
A: About 22 years professionally, and 30 years with show dogs.

Q: What animals do you have at home?
A: I have my 12yr old Bichapoo, Elodie; my Uromastyx, Squish, a Peterbald cat named Ingrid, and a yellow boy kitty I rescued from under my porch a few years ago named JoJo.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about your job?
A: Easy! Getting to play with pups all day! That and forming bonds with pets that had a hard time being groomed/were nervous. That trust that is formed when they allow me to groom them without difficulty is priceless. I love them all!

We are so lucky to have Tomi at LVH. Stay tuned for more!

It’s National Pet Day and we’re highlighting all the beautiful pets at Loudoun County Animal Services that are waiting to become someone’s beloved pet.

If you have a moment, take a look at these sweet animals and also the amazing work that LCAS does!

Meet Anna! When you stop by and visit her, you might notice she walks with a wobble and sometimes falls over. That is because Anna has a condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH).

While Cerebellar Hypoplasia can be quite a mouthful to say - CH is not contagious and it is non-progressive, meaning it does not get worse with age. Cats with CH are not in any pain and can live happy, healthy lives! CH affects the cerebellum, which is the area of the brain that controls fine motor movement, balance and coordination. For Anna this means that she wobbles when she walks and sometimes falls over or gets unbalanced.

Anna isn't bothered by her condition, she has impressed us all with how she has adapted to life and how sweet, social and resilient she is! When Anna falls, she rolls right over and continues on her way. Anna loves all things head-scratchies, feather wand toys and catnip! Give her a paper bag filled with catnip and treats and she is happy to play with it for the rest of the day! Anna loves napping by your side while you work, will purr up a storm to get your attention and greet all her visitors with an inquisitive little 'meow'.

Anna is hoping to find a family who can see past her wobbles and love her as the wonderful, sweet and playful cat she is! Are you Anna's person? Come meet her today! We are open for adoptions from 11am-6pm, Monday-Sunday.

On December 9th, our beloved Caesar crossed the bridge into heaven, leaving us completely heart broken. He went into the local vet for a routine neuter and was tragically taken from us. The chief veterinarian of a popular vet in Springfield, VA botched his surgery by removing the wrong organ and blocking blood supply to his bladder. He endured two days of unimaginable pain before we were told what happened, minutes before his death.

We wake up to an emptiness that cannot be described. He was my faithful companion who brought love, laughter, and purpose into my life. At this time, we desperately need love from our community. In his memory, please join us for a socially distanced candlelight vigil with your loved ones. Candles will be provided; please feel free to bring your own.

Buckey is already feeling better after Dr. Strickland's excellent care yesterday!! Thank you so very much for the great blood work report today. We are touched by your personal attention and care. THANK YOU.
Cranberry on bottom and Giblet on top. Leesburg Veterinary Hospital is the best and have taken care of Cranberry for 12 years and Giblet for 8 years. They are the best vets and staff in the world. They had their nails trimmed today. They are so patience with our babies. Sometimes for a treat they have chicken and steak, but 99% they adhere to their special diet from the vets. They know the words "chicken" and "steak" without us getting the food out. They know what it is of these English words are. They know the word "snacks". They are good when we brush their teeth with an electric toothbrush and are toilet trained. Knows many English words. They have over 50 toys and several places to explore. They are like two year old human babies. They love to cuddle and climb on our laps or standup to be picked up. They talk to us and say "Hello". These are very special babies to us. They go for the annual health visit to the vets in later October or early November. Always excellent care. We would not go to any other vet. Thank you Leesburg Veterinary Hospital-YOU ARE THE GREATEST!
Our Zuzu spent the day getting pampered here today! This is the best she has ever been groomed! She is so soft and her haircut is perfect! Thank you for taking such good care of our baby!
Lexi celebrated her 1st birthday today! Please tell Dr. Rockwell she has two more Hydrotherapy appointments and graduates! She is doing awesome❤️
Dr Strickland and the team at Leesburg Veterinary hospital always do a great job of making the pets and the owners very comfortable! Duke's recovery from being neutered as been very easy and painless!
I do not think there will ever be enough thank you's, or 5 star reviews for this amazing place and there staff. We had an unexpected event happen to our 1 year old Bulldog from a vaccine reaction, and pretty much went in cardiac arrest at the vet. The amazing Dr.Nuzzo and team took charge right away and made sure our pup was going to make it. They have been amazing with following up and caring for not only our dog, but us as well. The constant love and follow up and being able to keep our dog alive and make him get over this hump has been amazing. There is no other place I would trust my pets and this staff and office really does show how much they care and love on there animals and people too. Hines loves you guys and we appreciate everything you have done and continue to do.
Happy Anniversary. Dr. Ken.
Staff is very knowledgeable and very caring and friendly.
They looked after all out three dogs , they are professionals , and as far as vets go not bad. They are a little pricey , but these are are pets, so it’s all relative .
I mentioned this to Dr Strickland awhile ago but here is proof of naughty Klaus. No he is not looking for Easter eggs. He is going under the covers to attack my feet. Normally he does this around 4am when you are sleeping. You are sound a sleep then next thing you know he has your foot trapped in his paws. He won't attack from above the covers! He likes claws on skin contact 🤣
