We will be CLOSED this Friday, April 3rd, for Good Friday! Below are a few safety tips to keep in mind this Easter season🐰🐣🌷
🥚Plastic Easter grass can pose serious health risks, if ingested, so please keep any Easter baskets away from nosey snouts!
🥚Reminder that chocolate is toxic to pets, which is very popular during this time of year.
🥚Artificial sweeteners, like Xylitol, is also toxic to pets, so keep an eye out as that is becoming a more frequently used sweetener in candies and gum.

Good morning guys!⚠️We are closed next Wednesday (12/24) and Thursday (12/25) for Christmas.
⛄Here's a few safety tips for a safe and joyful holiday⛄

🪪Ensure all pets are wearing proper, up-to-date identification, and that there microchip is updated if they have one. This is the quickest way to return your furry friend if they get lost due to nerves from a big gathering or loud noises like fireworks or music.
🎄Holiday plants like mistletoe, holly, and poinsettias can cause gastrointestinal upset if ingested, so be sure to keep a close eye on pets if you have any of these around the house.
💡Keep any wires or batteries out of reach of pets as they can cause electrocution or burns to the mouth if ingested. Lit candles can also pose a fire hazard if left on low tables where pets can reach.
🗑We all know that holiday feasts are delicious, and so do our pets! Secure any trash to keep nosy snouts from finding potentially harmful leftovers.

☎For any emergencies during our closure, please contact Lafayette Animal Emergency Clinic at 337-989-0992.
