🎆 The Fourth of July is only 10 days away, and with America celebrating its 250th anniversary, we're expecting this year's festivities to be a big one! 🎆

Did you know that more pets go missing around the Fourth of July than any other time of year? Fireworks can start days before the holiday and continue long after, making it important to prepare now, not just for July 4th, but for all the early and late celebrations too. In fact, July 5th is consistently one of the busiest days of the year for animal control agencies and animal shelters are frightened pets become lost.

Our lovable senior pup, sponsored by our great friends at the Knoxville Habitat for Humanity ReStore, got adopted by his amazing foster, Mary!! 😍🐾
In the shelter world we call that a foster fail— but we think it’s really a sweet success!! We are so grateful that Mary could see how special Griffin is, so much so that she couldn’t imagine him going home with anyone else. ♥️🐾
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of Griffin’s journey to find his forever family. We couldn’t save these sweet lives without our incredible supporters! 🥰

🚨 We’ve lost our lead in the Graphic Creations, Inc. Nonprofit Vehicle Wrap Giveaway, and we need your help! 🚨

As a private nonprofit that receives less than $1,100 a year in government funding, a custom vehicle wrap simply isn’t in our budget. But our plain white Sprinter van is one of the hardest-working vehicles around!

Every week, it travels across the Tennessee Valley, helping save lives by transporting animals from partner shelters and returning pets after they’ve received spay/neuter services through our programs. This van is a lifeline for shelters and pets throughout our region.

Imagine the impact of turning that blank white van into a rolling billboard for homeless animals and the lifesaving work happening every day at the Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley. 🐾

Introducing Panther and Lola! 🐱♥️🐱
This sweet, bonded pair are looking for a home to call their own together! They are extremely affectionate and love getting attention and pets (and of course treats!) 🥰
Panther and Lola are bonded because Lola has epilepsy, and she does so much better with sweet Panther to make her feel safe and comfortable. They have also spent all 6 years of their lives together 🥹👯‍♀️
Lola is on Phenobarbital to control her seizures twice per day, and she has been doing incredible with no seizures while we have had her in the shelter 💖
Her diagnosis has no change on her personality, and her and Panther are both extremely loving cats! They have never met a stranger and will immediately greet you with purrs and affection! ♥️🐾
They are currently being spoiled in one of the admin offices upstairs, so please ask us to meet them when you come in! Please help us find these feline friends the home they deserve 🫶

Can y'all believe Regal has been searching for his forever family for over SIX MONTHS?! 😭💔
We truly do not understand why our handsome tripod has been over-looked time and time again. He is a 2 year old terrier mix who does need to be in a home with NO cats, but he gets along very well with other dogs (as long as they love to play!) ,loves children, and truly just wants to be your best friend🥰
Although he is techinally "special needs", he is WAY more special than needy! Missing a leg does not slow him down ONE BIT or change his life style from that of a "normal" dog! He can run, play, go on neighborhood walks, and do everything you would want your four-legged comapanion to do! 🐶💕
If you have space in your home and heart, please consider adopting Regal! He truly is so deserving of a loving family to call his own ❤🐾

We're looking for volunteers starting tomorrow morning to help us catch up on:

🧽General cleaning tasks
