Lucky 13 Rescue Lucky 13 Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2016, serving the KC metro and surrounding rural areas.

We're a foster-based rescue helping dogs of all breeds through medical care, rehabilitation, foster homes, and adoption into loving forever homes. Lucky 13 Rescue is a federal 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the rescue and aid of homeless and neglected dogs in the Kansas City metro and surrounding rural areas. We do not limit our efforts to a specific breed, but rather strive to assist any dog t

hat is facing neglect, homelessness, abuse or death. Our ultimate goal is to rehabilitate each canine in our care through placement in loving foster homes until they can be carefully matched with adoptive families.

FOSTERS NEEDED! These sweet pups are looking for a place to crash - could it be with you? They’re mixed breeds, estimated to be around 10 weeks old. Mom is around 30lbs, so we expect them to be medium size full grown. We provide all supplies, and fosters get first dibs on adopting!

This sweet boy needs our help!

Meet Benji, a 5-year-old gentleman who is looking for a safe place to land after his owner made the difficult decision that she can no longer care for him.

Benji recently received a clean bill of health and is described as an incredibly easy, low-maintenance dog. He loves people and just wants a quiet place to call home.

⚠️ Benji is very fearful of other dogs, so he would do best in a foster home where he can be the only pet and decompress at his own pace.

Lucky 13 Rescue provides:

🚨 FOSTER NEEDED! 🚨Meet Timber!

This sweet 15-pound puppy was found abandoned along Highway 69. A kind family took him in and has done everything they can to help, but they need our assistance finding him a foster home.

About Timber:
Good with 4 resident dogs
Cats unknown
Kids unknown
Mostly house-trained (only one accident since being found)
Sleeps quietly in a kennel overnight with access to p*e pads
Doing well on a leash
No food aggression observed
Friendly and has not shown any biting behavior

The finders took Timber to the vet today to get him up to date on vaccines and preventatives. He was not microchipped, and since he was found as a stray, we do not believe he has been neutered.

Timber deserves a safe place to land while we search for his forever family. Can you open your home to this sweet boy?

Jack is ready for a summer with his new family!

Coming to Lucky 13 last September, Jack never thought he’d still be with us. Although we love having Jack around, he deserves to find his forever home! Jack is an energetic teen who loves to play and explore the world. He would do great in a home with other dogs that like to play rough. He’s good with kids; kennel trained and house trained.
