Lucky 13 Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2016, serving the KC metro and surrounding rural areas.

We're a foster-based rescue helping dogs of all breeds through medical care, rehabilitation, foster homes, and adoption into loving forever homes. Lucky 13 Rescue is a federal 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the rescue and aid of homeless and neglected dogs in the Kansas City metro and surrounding rural areas. We do not limit our efforts to a specific breed, but rather strive to assist any dog that is facing neglect, homelessness, abuse or death. Our ultimate goal is to rehabilitate each canine in our care through placement in loving foster homes until they can be carefully matched with adoptive families.

Midas has already overcome so much.

At just 1.5 years old, Midas survived months abandoned in a barn with little food or water. He came to Lucky 13 far too skinny, but look at him now! He’s healthy, happy, goofy, and ready for a family of his own.

He LOVES people, is cat friendly, and may enjoy a calm canine sibling. He just needs a family who understands his separation anxiety and will show him he’s never being left behind again.

4. Harley - 3 years old. “Very good boy”. Found emaciated. Good with cats and dogs.
