IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR OUR POULTRY PATIENTS:

Due to an increase in Missouri cases of the highly virulent Avian Influenza, we will no longer be seeing any poultry (chickens, ducks, geese, turkey, etc) in the clinic effective immediately. This will be in effect until at least mid-spring 2026.

For KCVC established clients with chickens/ducks who have concerns, we can consult with them over the phone.

We apologize for the inconvenience and will keep you updated on changes.

📣Kansas City Veterinary Care will be closed Friday July 4th.📣

We want to wish everyone a happy and healthy 4th of July!

We will be back open for normal hours Sat 8-12 and resume normal hours on Monday as well.

KCVC will be closed on Monday, May 26th, for Memorial Day. 🇺🇲

We will be back open Tuesday with normal business hours.

Good news to our poultry caregivers out there! We will start seeing pet chickens, ducks, and geese again! 🐥🐓🦆🪿

We will be monitoring migration changes at the beginning of fall, and at that time, we may need to stop seeing them again if there is a risk of more avian flu coming around. If/when that time comes, there will be another announcement.

As always, if you have a concern for the health of your flock, you need to contact your county's vet. We are unable to provide flock medical care.

This week is Veterinary CSR Appreciation Week! While we appreciate our staff and everything they do every day. We're happy to celebrate them this week!

KCVC is very thankful for all the compassion and kindness that our CSRs show every day. CSRs play a vital role in our clinic and we would be lost without them!
