Sorry for the grainy quality of the video. What a great first lesson for Jackie! Not every horse makes a lesson horse, and that's okay. Jackie is a rockstar at trail riding and we've been slowly working on her arena etiquette. Pairing the right rider with the right horse is key. Katie is an extremely calm and patient rider and does not react to the horse. Due to this, the horse can gain much more confidence in a quicker time frame. If Jackie continues to improve and we can use her regularly in lessons, It's a bonus that she is gaited. It adds variety to our lesson string and allows our students to ride different horses. Great job Katie and Jackie!
