Animal Protection Association is a 501c3, no-kill, cat rescue and shelter located in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

The shelter is now open on Saturdays 11 am - 2 pm for donations and loving on the kitties.

Samoa is still waiting for her forever family to come take her home. She she is 61/2 months old . She gets along well with other cats. She is very shy and tends to hide when she is at adoption events. So if you would like to meet her go to APA-pets.org and fill out an application so we can set up a meet and great.

Meet our adorable duo, brothers Ginger and Pepper.
You get twice the cuteness and double the love!!

Our two sweet brothers are ready to steal your heart and fill your life with purrs, cuddles and fun. They are approximately 9 months old. Ginger and Pepper are dreaming of a loving furever home together. Pepper is a little more laid- back than his brother Ginger, but both are loving and playful, and like being held.

APA will be open Saturday from 11am to 2 pm. Please come by and meet these handsome boys!

Picasso Is still looking for his forever home. He is 4 1/2 months old. Gets along well wit other cats. He is up to date on shorts, fiv/felv neg. Neutered and microchipped. If you would like to meet him go to APA-pets.org and fill out an application. He will be at Petsmart in Clarksville Indiana on Saturday November the 7th.

Meet Walter’s little sister Winnie. Because Winnie is a very dainty, petite girl (unlike her moose of a brother), she has had to wait to get ready for finding her new home. At about 4 weeks old, Walter and Winnie were found curled up in a driveway. They were brought to an APA foster home not long after . They have been in there foster home about 6-7 weeks. They are very personable. They are not bothered by other older kitties. Winnie has been found sleeping numerous times with the older cats. If you would be interested in giving one or both of these sweet things a forever home fill out an online application at apa-pets.org. All APA kitties are spay/neutered, vaccinated, tested for FEV or FELV, wormed, micro-chipped.

Looking for a handsome little companion who can bring plenty of fun—and plenty of love—into your home? Pepper may be your guy!

At about 7½ months old, Pepper is a beautiful solid-black kitten with just a tiny touch of white tucked under his chin. But as handsome as he is, it’s his sweet personality that really makes him special.

Pepper is very playful and loves having other cats around. He gets along wonderfully with his feline friends, so he could be a great addition to a home with another kitty looking for a companion.

When playtime is over, Pepper is happy to settle in close to his people. He likes to sit beside you while you relax in your favorite chair, and don’t be surprised if you wake up to find him sleeping beside you at night. ❤️

Pepper is currently enjoying life in a foster home, so you won’t find him at the APA shelter during our regular Saturday hours. But we would love to introduce you!

Little Birdie went to her wonderful new home on Sunday . The second picture is from one of her update posts we have received . Her new Momma says she is doing great and is receiving and giving lots of cuddles. Along with her new hoomans, Birdie will have two doggie friends to hang out with also. We are thrilled this little girl has found such a great forever home.

This beautiful girl is Smokey, approximately 6-7 years old, spayed and UTD on vaccinations. Smokey recently lost both of her humans who spoiled her rotten and she misses them terribly. She is a lovable, silky soft, fluffy talker who loves to cuddle. Smokey would be an amazing companion for an older adult but she needs to be an only cat. Because her current temporary home has a dog who torments her, she does not care for dogs. Little Atlas is looking for his forever home. He is 3 months old. He. Gets along well with other cats and is fine with dogs as long as they are cat friendly because he likes to head rub up against them.
