A very busy week! Everyone is where they should be and ready for their winter retreat. The pigs teach us to nest and rest more during these months of hibernation, the horses teach us to play in the snow and the cows show us that spending quiet time immersed in the cold and nature is healing. I learn something new from them each and every day.

Getting packed up for Pressbay Alley Holiday Market - we have merch and donated goods by local artisans all to support the sanctuaries efforts to rescue and care for our 67 residents! This is our end of year fundraiser so come find a holiday stuffer, gift or treat yourself. Our thrift store is still open tomorrow 10am-4pm, 1201 N. Tioga street - Holiday gifts for a cause 💓

Monday we moved the cows down to the barn from their pasture! It is officially winter at the sanctuary.

A busy week! We introduced our two horses and two donkeys to their new winter home. Moving the horses/donkeys and Zebus out of the main barn allows proper space for wintering our cow herd. Once the cows return to pasture the horses and donkeys will have 3 pastures and multiple run ins and barns to pick from. They seem very happy with their new winter cabin

After a year + of planning and fundraising we finally were able to move our zebu family to their new barn. The pasture fencing went up in February of 2025 and their barn was finished last week. We walked them through the pig pasture, past their big cow friends and down to meet their new sheep neighbors. Your support gives us the ability to save lives and give these animals the homes they deserve

Updates and rainbows 🌈 🐖 🐖- Ben and Burt are sleeping and snuggling with their herd. During night checks the most gorgeous rainbow engulfed the entire sanctuary. Feeling thankful for the support and compassion we have received to save these new lives. Let’s keep building rainbows

Ben and Burt have transitioned into the herd with passive kindness 💗💓❤️💕 they decided to sleep in the field last night, but made their way to the sheds after breakfast this morning. Mike was giving them a hard time yesterday and a few of the smaller friends were doing some ankle biting 😂, but everyone is fine and doing very well today. It will take them a bit to recalibrate and settle in, but so far so good!

ull day! We prepped the large pigs finished lean to, introduced Ben and Burt to their herd (updates coming soon), rain proofed a wagon of hay before tomorrow and mapped out our Tuesday! Feeling thankful the sun was with us all day 🌞
