🚨🐶 DOGS, DOGS… AND MORE DOGS! 🐶🚨

Our kennels are FULL and so many amazing dogs are waiting for someone to finally say, “You’re coming home with me.”

To help our longtime residents find the loving homes they deserve, and to make room for incoming dogs who desperately need our help, we’re waiving adoption fees for all dogs who have been with us 30+ days through Wednesday, June 10th!

Whether you’re looking for a hiking buddy, couch cuddle expert, goofy best friend, or loyal sidekick, your perfect match might be waiting right here. 🐾

• Wednesday–Sunday: 12 PM – 4:30 PM
• Thursday: 12 PM – 6:30 PM

🚨 KITTEN FOOD EMERGENCY 🚨

We are DOWN to our LAST few cases of kitten canned food… and we just had a KITTEN TSUNAMI hit us going from only a few kittens in foster to over 50 in the span of a couple of weeks! 🐾🍼

Tiny mouths are arriving faster than we can keep up, and we desperately need donations of WET KITTEN FOOD to help keep these babies healthy, growing, and fed around the clock.

Any brand helps, and every single can makes a difference right now. 💕

If you’d like to donate, you can have donations mailed directly to us or you can drop them off at either of our buildings anytime. If you come after hours, you can leave donations in the brown bins in front of either our Adoption Center or Intake building!

Thank you for always showing up for these little lives when they need it most! 🐱❤️

Casserole says “Cheese, please!!!”

Spray cheese makes pills go down better, is a yummy distraction during exams and vaccinations, is a high value treat for dogs, among other things.

If you happen to be out shopping for Memorial Day barbecue supplies, would you consider picking up a can or 5 of spray cheese? You can drop it off any time at 1640 Hanshaw Rd. Ithaca. If it’s after hours, there are brown bins outside both of our buildings.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and thanks to the thoughtful students in the Groton Middle School band, our shelter has been filled with a little extra joy this week 💚🐔

They surprised our staff with squeaky rubber chickens and sweet handwritten notes, and let’s just say the chickens quickly became the unofficial stars of the shelter. While they’re a bit too small for our bigger pups to safely play with (no chicken-snacking allowed!), plenty of animals (and humans) enjoyed posing with them and hearing the squeaks echo down the halls.

It’s amazing how small acts of kindness and laughter can brighten someone’s day. Thank you, Groton Middle School band, for thinking of our team and reminding us all to find joy in the little things. 💛
