Wanda’s Bucket List 🌈

Mr. Crowley recently got moved to a different foster home and was quickly adopted, but his new foster made sure to bring him by to say good bye to his dear friend Wanda one last time before dropping him off ❤️

Unfortunately we did not get good news regarding Wanda’s sores on her inner thigh area. They are indeed cancerous. And due to the location and severity of the sores, prognosis is not very good.

Her current fosters will be transitioning to fospice, and we are starting the process of fundraising for Lap of Love to lay her to rest where she is comfortable.

Wanda’s quality of life is the most important piece of this. And I am not sharing pictures of the wounds due to severity. We are continuing with pain management and beginning a bucket list for her, but if she begins to decline we will make the call.

Lap of Love for a large breed dog is usually around $1,000. If you are able, any donations towards this service are greatly appreciated. We love the Lap of Love team immensely, they are angels on earth.

Thank you all for being here for Wanda and loving all these pups like we do. We are grateful for all the adventures she’s enjoyed and friends she’s made. ❤️‍🩹 this is such a hard part of rescue

Adopted!!!

Bog needs an adopter, foster or rescue commitment by 6/1.

Bog is a friendly, affectionate boy who loves being close to his people. He enjoys walks, outdoor adventures, cuddles, enrichment time, and simply hanging out with his humans. He knows several commands including sit, stay, and lay down, rides well in the car, and staff say he relaxes much more once he’s away from the kennel environment. ❤️

During enrichment time, Bog happily played with a wobble kong, tugged around a big rope toy, and enjoyed finishing up with a lick mat. He was easy to leash and handle, even after being woken up from a nap. While he did show some kennel reactivity returning to his space, he was still easy to unleash and redirect.

Right now, the shelter environment is taking a major toll on Bog. He is extremely stressed in his kennel, showing constant drooling, panting, pacing, barking, and bouncing behaviors while struggling to settle. Outside of the kennel, his sweet and affectionate personality shines through much more clearly.

According to a previous home, Bog may play a little too enthusiastically for very small children, so he would do best with continued structure, guidance, and positive outlets for his energy. Underneath the stress is a loving dog who desperately needs a calm environment where he can decompress and thrive.

Bog urgently needs an adopter, foster, or rescue commitment by 6/1. Please help us get this deserving boy out of the shelter and into a safe, loving home. 🐾

He came to us from the city shelter, immensely stressed and overwhelmed. A Lucci’s board member and IACS volunteer began fostering him to give him a break and WOW he has blossomed.
