November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month — and we have something really special to share. 🍂🤍

Compassionate Crossings is proud to partner with Full Circle Rescue & Sanctuary this November to shine a light on four wonderful senior dogs looking for loving homes! 🐾

Each week throughout the month, we'll introduce you to one of these special dogs — sharing their stories, personalities, and all the little things that make them wonderful companions.

Senior dogs have so much love, personality, and companionship to offer. And sometimes, the perfect addition to a family comes with a little gray around the muzzle. 🤍

Full Circle Rescue & Sanctuary is a wonderful local organization dedicated to giving animals a second chance, and we're honored to support their mission throughout November. 🌿

Whether you're considering adoption or simply want to help spread the word, we invite you to follow along and get to know these four special dogs.

Happy National Cook for Your Pets Day! 🍖🐾

Today is the one day a year your pet gets to officially judge your cooking — and let's be honest, they're probably your most enthusiastic taste tester! 😄

Whether you're cooking for a tail-wagging pup or a curious kitty, here are a few simple ingredients that can make tasty occasional treats for your furry family members!

🐶 FOR OUR DOG LOVERS:
🍗 Plain, fully cooked chicken or turkey (boneless)
🍠 Plain cooked sweet potato
🥕 Carrots — raw or cooked, cut into appropriate pieces
🫐 Blueberries
🎃 Plain pumpkin purée (not pumpkin pie filling)

🐱 FOR OUR CAT LOVERS:
🍗 Plain, fully cooked chicken or turkey (boneless)
🐟 Plain, fully cooked fish (boneless, in small amounts)
🥚 Fully cooked eggs (plain, in small portions)

And a few ingredients to keep safely out of reach:
🚫 Onions and garlic
🚫 Grapes and raisins
🚫 Xylitol — found in some sugar-free products
🚫 Chocolate 🍫
🚫 Cooked bones

🤍 A little kitchen reminder: Keep homemade treats free from added salt, seasonings, butter, and sauces. Introduce new foods gradually, serve appropriate portions, and check with your veterinarian about your pet's individual dietary needs. Homemade treats should complement, not replace, a complete and balanced diet.

Whether you're a gourmet pet chef or more of a kibble-with-a-side-of-love kind of household, today is a wonderful reminder to celebrate the little moments we share with our pets.

Euthanasia is the hardest part of veterinary medicine, but it is also the final, most sacred gift we can give our beloved pets. Let’s be honest. 🎃
