F***l testing is one of the most commonly run diagnostics at VCA Hanson.

Testing looks for parasites that can live in your pet’s intestines. These include worms like roundworms, hookworms, tapeworms, and whipworms or other parasitic infections like Giardia and Coccidia.

Testing is recommended so often because intestinal parasites are very common. This is partly because of common pet behavior. Sniffing butts, sharing water bowls, eating dirt, cleaning/licking feet, and eating p**p are all habits that pass parasites very easily. Parasites also transfer by catching and eating wildlife or even accidentally swallowing fleas. Some parasites can pass by simply walking on contaminated ground!

Only a small amount is needed and no appointment is necessary for testing!
