Independence Day is fast approaching, and we would like to remind everything that while fireworks are fun for us, they can be frightening for our pets!
Many dogs and cats experience stress, fear, and anxiety from the loud noises and flashing lights. Help keep your furry family members safe by planning ahead:
๐พ Keep pets indoors in a secure, quiet room.
๐พ Close windows, curtains, and blinds to help reduce noise.
๐พ Turn on a TV, fan, or calming music to provide comforting background sound.
๐พ Make sure collars and ID tags are up to date, and check that microchip information is current.
๐พ Never bring pets to fireworks displays.
๐พ If your pet has a history of severe firework anxiety, contact us before the celebrations begin. We can discuss safe options to help keep them calm and comfortable.
To our pets, we are their safe place. A little preparation and extra comfort can make all the difference. Have a safe and happy holiday!
