We see the same thing all the time.

A pet parent finally gets the appointment scheduled…

Then the real adventure begins.

Find the leash.
Load the carrier.
Convince the cat this is not a hostage situation.
Get the nervous dog into the car.
Drive across town.
Hope nobody vomits, panics, or does something mysterious on the seat.

That is the car circus.

And some pets, especially anxious pets, older pets, and multi-pet households, do better when care comes to them.

Our mobile veterinary services help make care easier, calmer, and more convenient by bringing veterinary support right to your door.

No lobby stress.
No car chaos.
No “why did I wear nice pants today?” moments.

Just clear, trusted care in a place your pet already feels safe.

Text or call our Vet Near Me Greenville location to see if a mobile visit is a good fit for your pet. 864-232-9841 🐶🐱

Storms and fireworks are coming. Is your pet ready? ⛈️🎆

If your pet gets anxious during loud noises, now is the time to prepare.

Signs of anxiety may include panting, pacing, shaking, whining, hiding, restlessness, or destructive behavior.

Medication can help many pets feel calmer and safer during storms and fireworks.

Compassion starts with caring for our team.

Beginning June 1st, all FurWell locations will begin our temporary summer hours schedule, with all locations closing at 4pm through the end of August. ☀️

Every year, we make this adjustment for one very important reason: our team.

Veterinary medicine is incredibly rewarding, but it is also emotionally, mentally, and physically demanding work. Our doctors, technicians, assistants, client advocates, and support staff pour their hearts into caring for pets every single day — often carrying the weight of difficult decisions, emergencies, long appointments, and emotional moments alongside the families we serve.

At FurWell, we believe deeply in work-life balance and protecting the people who make compassionate veterinary care possible.

These summer hours are one small way we can give our team a little more time to rest, recharge, spend time with family, and care for themselves the same way they care for your pets.

We are still happy to accommodate pet parents needing after-hours medication pickup or other special arrangements whenever possible — we simply ask for a little communication ahead of time so we can help.

Thank you for supporting not only your local privately owned veterinary team, but also the humans behind the medicine.

Your kindness and understanding help us continue building a workplace centered around compassion, longevity, and exceptional care. ❤️

Rabies cases are continuing to rise across South Carolina and unfortunately, the Upstate is not being spared.

This is a very real public health concern affecting pets, wildlife, livestock, and people in our own communities.

Please take a moment to read this recent report and understand why keeping your pet current on their rabies vaccine matters so much.

Then take action.

FurWell Veterinary Hospital and Vet Near Me Greenville will be hosting a Community Rabies Vaccine Event on Saturday, June 6th from 9am–11am at 1240 E Butler Rd in Greenville.

Rabies vaccines will be offered for a minimum $5 donation benefiting Corona Muralis at Shepherd’s Field .

If your pet is overdue — or if you aren’t sure — now is the time.

A simple vaccine can protect your pet, your family, and our community.

Rabies cases are continuing to rise across South Carolina and the numbers are becoming difficult to ignore.

Recent reports from the South Carolina Department of Public Health confirm multiple rabid animals across the state, including raccoons, skunks, bats, cats, and even livestock exposures.

In several cases, people and pets were directly exposed and required medical intervention or quarantine. Greenville County alone has continued to see confirmed positive rabies cases involving bats, raccoons, skunks, and cats.

Rabies is not just a “wildlife problem.”
It is a fatal virus once symptoms appear — and it is actively being found in our communities.

That’s why FurWell Veterinary Hospital and Vet Near Me are urgently encouraging pet owners to take prevention seriously and we are here to help!

Join us at our Community Rabies Vaccine Event
🗓 Saturday, June 6
⏰ 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
📍 1240 E Butler Rd, Greenville, SC

We will be offering rabies vaccines for a minimum $5 donation, with proceeds supporting local rescue efforts for retired military working dogs.

This event is open to the public.

If your pet is overdue or if you simply are not sure when their last rabies vaccine was given, now is the time to act.

South Carolina law requires rabies vaccination for dogs, cats, and ferrets, but more importantly, it is one of the simplest and most effective ways to protect your pet, your family, and your community.

Please do not wait until exposure happens.
We are seeing more positive cases. More quarantines. More human exposures.

A simple vaccine can save lives.

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

In observance of Memorial Day, all FurWell locations will be closed on Monday, May 25th.

We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, May 26th at 8:00 AM.

As we spend time with family, friends, and the pets we love, we remember those who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy each day.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.
