So many people are surprised when we offer to take them to our sanctuary upstairs. Often said on a first visit to Penny’s Place:
“I had no idea this existed!”
“Wow, this is so nice for the cats!”
“I’d like to live here!”
And then comes the question,”Why are these cats up here?”
Penny’s Place was created as a quieter sanctuary that senior cats and cats with special needs could feel more at home in, and live out the rest of their life in a comfortable environment if an adopter couldn’t be found. Sometimes we have cats with medical needs, nursing mama cats that need a cozy environment, or very shy cats that are overwhelmed by our busy cat room downstairs. And sometimes, when the shelter is full, it’s simply the only space available when a new cat arrives.
We currently have several friendly young adults enjoying the sanctuary, a couple of cats that are just a little timid, one very independent cat, and a beautiful senior calico. Every single cat is adoptable. Ask to meet them when you visit AnimalSave! 💕🐾

From the moment Madam Marley arrived at AnimalSave 5 months ago, people commented on what a stunningly beautiful cat she is. If it’s possible, she’s even more beautiful now that she is well fed and her winter coat is coming in. Approximately 2 years old, friendly with people, tolerant of other cats. Adopt this gorgeous girl!!
