Meet Buttercup! Georgetown Animal Outreach continues to make an impact. This sweet little old lady came to the veterinary office at Texas Humane Heroes with some serious health needs. Her elderly owner really wants to keep her, but can't afford the dental that she has to have. GAO stepped up and covered the cost. Thanks to all of the donors who continue to help animals through GAO!

Even though we’ve had to pull back a bit, GAO is still making a difference! We were able to help pet owners for these four dogs today by covering the costs of their spay/neuter surgeries as well as basic vaccinations and heartworm tests. Hooray!! Four altered and vaccinated dogs!

Meet Andre: A Good Boy With Nowhere to Go

Andre was pulled from a South Texas shelter where dogs are often out of time before they ever get a chance. He was skinny, sick, and shut down—but gentle, always gentle.

Today, Andre is healing. He’s young, sweet, and quiet. He loves people and gets along beautifully with other dogs—even the ones who aren’t so nice to him. He just lowers his head, wags his tail, and waits for kindness. He’s submissive, soft-eyed, and hoping for somewhere to land.

But here’s the hard part: Andre doesn’t have anywhere to go. His foster fell through, and the rescue that saved him is desperate.

He doesn’t need much—just a soft place, a kind human, and a second chance. He’s already proven he knows how to forgive the world. Now he just needs someone to show him it’s worth it.

Today the last GAO foster dog went home! Have a great life Penny!
GAO has placed hundreds of dogs in homes. Due to lack of volunteers we’ve had to stop dog intake. But we are so happy that we were able to stick with Penny until she found her home (she was in foster with us for over two years).

Meet Cade, Lance, and Teddie! These six month old cameo kittens (rare kind of cat) are so sweet and are ready for their forever homes. They are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and well-adapted to living in a home since they've been with a wonderful foster since they were weaned.
