Connor will be at the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter today from 12pm - 6pm hoping an adopter or foster stops by just for him! Yup, you read that right! The shelter is open all day today to help your extended weekend end with a new best friend!

🎲🐾 Roll the Dice... and Win a Best Friend for Life! 🐾🎲

Meet Dice — your four-legged jackpot and the ultimate board game buddy, because this guy? He's on a roll!

Dice is the kind of dog who brings the fun, the love, and all the winning moves wherever he goes. From car rides to kisses, window watching to fetch, he's playing life like he's got the cheat codes to charm. 🎯💕

Recently, he got to go on a Doggy Day Out, and his host said it best:

“He’s SUCH a good boy.”

🎲 He loved the car ride.
🎲 He loved meeting new people.
🎲 He LOVED Bass Pro Shop — and the feeling was mutual.
🎲 He kinda hated the Starbucks drive-thru (a suspenseful plot twist), but was back to tail wags once the pup cup arrived.

Dice is a true player... of hearts. He knows his name, listens like a champ (a simple "Dice, no" works wonders), and gives out kisses like he’s dealing cards — with flair and generosity. If you make a little kissy sound, he’ll respond with a smooch and maybe even a happy nibble. 🥰

He’s also a:
• 🧩 Pro-level snuggler
• 🧩 Observant explorer (sometimes TOO observant... he may walk into a shelf while admiring the floor pattern)
• 🧩 Music fan
• 🧩 Fetch enthusiast
• 🧩 Console surfer (he loves to stand on the car’s center console to get the best views — classic road trip behavior)

Dice walks well on an Easy Walk leash and is always excited to see the world — sometimes a little too excited, but can you blame him? After losing his previous home due to his owner’s health, Dice is ready to throw the dice on a fresh start filled with love, adventure, and good vibes.

🎶 Wouldn’t It Be Nice... to Have a Buddy Like Leonardo? 🏖️🐾

Meet Leonardo — or Leo, if you’re one of the cool cats. 😎 He’s got Good Vibrations and major beach bum energy — the kind of laid-back dude who dreams of belly rubs, lazy couch days, and reruns on TV while soaking up the love like it's sunshine on a surfboard.

Leo’s perfect day?
🎾 A little fetch in the backyard,
🚶‍♂️ A chill walk on a quiet trail,
💦 And then a pool party for one — this guy lives for splashing around in the water! (Cue Surfin' USA because Leo's got some serious splash skills.)

But don’t expect a fast-paced surf competition here. Leo’s more of a “Let’s take it slow and mellow” kind of guy. New situations? He likes to dip a paw in first, then ease in when he’s ready. He’s a sensitive soul who thrives with patient, understanding humans who respect his need for personal space and quiet time.

🌊 "Catch a wave and you’re sittin’ on top of the world" — and for Leo, that wave is a couch with you on it. He’s loyal, loving, and if you give him a comfy corner to call his own, he’ll give you his whole heart.

And here’s a fun twist: Leo is Team Cat! He’s lived with them before and prefers their cool, chill vibe over rowdy pups. (Who knew he had Pet Sounds taste?)

He’s brave, cuddly, a little goofy, and currently healing from a leg injury — which just means more reason for guilt-free snuggle time. So, if you’ve got room in your life (and your lap) for a larger-than-life lovebug, Ranch is your guy. Ranch would be happy with a foster or an adopter!

✨🐾 — Our handsome boy Will was the star of KVUE’s Pet of the Week! With his one blue eye, one brown eye, and 100% lovable personality, it’s no surprise he stole the show.

Will is a fun, treat-loving pup who walks great on leash, loves squeaky toys, and thinks he’s a lap dog (all 60+ pounds of him 💕). He’s eager to find his loving new family—maybe it’s you?

⚡ Meet Yugi: one-year-old cat, full-time energy machine! ⚡

With his snowy coat, bold black spots, and piercing green eyes, Yugi is as striking as he is playful. He loves wand toys and string chases, and he’s got energy for days. Yugi is affectionate when he chooses, independent when he wants, and always entertaining.

His previous owner (a busy nurse) shared that he needs more attention than they could give—but that’s good news for someone out there who’s ready for a lively, spirited new best friend. 💚

About our page

WCRAS accepts all animals from within our jurisdiction regardless of health, age, temperament whether there is space or not. Adoptions and owner reclaims are vital for the shelter to continue to save at least 90% of the animals that enter the shelter. Currently WCRAS has been saving 90% or more for over three years. We only euthanize for medical that no longer have a good quality of life, or for behavior issues that make the animal unsafe to place in a home. WCRAS also relies on donations to pay for all the medical illness and/or injuries that come into the shelter. Without that support, all these animals would have to be euthanized. Thank you for sharing the animals in need of homes and supporting WCRAS!
