Thursday we started the day off with a flat tire🤯🛞😅 Lotus was just as tired as MVS after our long day Wednesday!

Our MVS team is so incredible and came together to make the day continue on smoothly. Sarah and Emily quick loaded up their own car with all the bins to head to surgeries and stay on time. Hannah came in on her day off and put on the spare tire!!👏 Nora also came in on her day off and took Lotus to the shop to get the original tire fixed! 🥳 What a team effort!💛❤️

This past Wednesday was a HUGE surgery day for MVS. We started the day off at Northwind with Laura for a TPLO! Then we packed up our car for a trip down to Jarrettsville for three more TPLOs!💪🦴❤️‍🩹🌅

They have been consistently having the patient under anesthesia and prepped when we walk in the door!! This is so helpful for us!!! It allows us to be able to help more patients at multiple clinics in one day. Thank you NSAH team!🤩🤩🤩

Happy Monday everyone!

The weather is getting nicer☀️ which means the hot summer days are upon us. 🥵 Now is the time to get their airways done before they end up in a breathing crisis. 🚨 The heat and exercise mixed with their smooshed faces (closed nostrils, and extra soft pallet) causes them to have extreme difficulty successfully breathing, cooling, and calming down.

Below is a picture of the nares we did the other day mid procedure. You can see on the right (the before) how closed off the nostril is. On the left (after) there is actual space for air to get through! This dog also received the soft pallet trimming, which is going to make him a completely different dog just in time for summer! 😎☀️🌻⛱️ congrats buddy! 💙🐾

Wednesday was a Housecall day! Have we mentioned how much we love this team!?! ❤️💛

There was two procedures we had the pleasure of helping with. One being a TPLO, and the other was a corkscrew tail amputation and airway.

A lot of dogs who have corkscrew tails are in constant discomfort from chronic infection, irritation, and pain that forms in the folds of their corkscrew tails. The best fix for these guys is completely removing the tail! This gives them immense relief, and we love seeing how happy these pups are after this procedure. 🌟

Tuesday was a Hampstead day!!

We got to help three sweet dogs who all needed something very different. First we had a laryngeal paralysis case, then a mass excision, and lastly an airway plus a spay!
