Our next sessions of Rally classes begin this week on Wednesday, October 28th.

• Rally 101: Introduction to Rally Obedience at 5pm
• Rally 210: Advanced Rally Skills at 6:15p

This is a great opportunity to strengthen the Teamwork between you and your dog while learning a new sport and improving your skills.

These classes finish in mid-December. So if you think you’d like to compete, you will have finished class AND have a few week to practice your skills in our drop-in classes ahead of the Longs Peak Dog Training Club Trials in January at The Ranch.

Even if you’ve been playing the Rally game for some time, consider taking the 101 class with a beginner’s mind or give yourself the gift of better and sharper skills under the excellent guidance of Ms Francie. You might be surprised what you learn about yourself and your dog.

Our next round of Odor classes are coming soon. You and your dog definitely want to take her classes.

I am thrilled to announce that I am now a Certified Nose Work Instructor through the National Association of Canine Scent Work (NACSW)!

Requirements for this certification included 8 days of direct training, plus at least 40 teaching hours of the NACSW curriculum and 40 hours of observation of searching dogs (I had over 200 observation hours!).

Join Joanne Lang, Canine Fitness & Massage Practitioner, for a practical, hands-on seminar designed to help you create a simple exercise program specifically for your dog.

One of our more-popular Life Skills Classes, Walking with Squirrels, begins on Tuesday, June 23rd, and has a few spaces available.

Walking with Squirrels is 3-week class focused on loose-leash walking skills with distractions, including the most-interesting Squirrel.

Day 1 meets at CLC to establish skills. Day 2 and 3 meet at local parks to challenge your new skills with real live wild distractions.

• Odor 301 – Advanced Odor Detection, 6p (2 spaces available) – this class is for dogs that are on competition odor and focuses on handling skills.

Thursday - June 11th

If your dog has already completed their Canine Good Citizen and you’d like to try the next level…. Our Prep class for CGC – Advanced and Urban begins Tomorrow, Sunday, May 31st at 1pm

This 6-wk class will help you and your dog prepare for both of the 10-element Canine Good Citizen Advanced and Urban Exams. The Exam is given on the last week.

If you choose to attach the title to your dog’s name, there is a separate application and fee sent to AKC.
