Hello TYDT family. I know it's been awhile but I wanted to let you all know that, while I won't be returning to the trainer's position for awhile, Summit Dog Training's Melissa is teaching wonderful Agility classes on my field with her brand new Agility equipment!

There are run-throughs the following two weeks on Thursdays 6:30-8p and lower level drop-ins before that, if you want to come, have some fun! Moya and I will be at the run-throughs! Come play with us in a low stress environment with GREAT courses and amazing equipment

The course consists of jumps, tunnels, weave poles, a dog walk, an A-frame and a teeter-totter. Agility is a great way to improve your training skills, strengthen the relations...

I may not be doing much as far as dog training goes these days but I am setting up a few Rattlesnake Avoidance Workshops again this year! I'm teaming up with Summit Dog Training in a few weeks for my first workshop of the year. Get a jump start so you're ready for rattlesnake season before it starts!
We have a couple of different options for you too!
- Intro to Rattlesnake Avoidance In-Person Workshop (registration under webinars)
- Intro to Rattlesnake Avoidance In-Person Workshop (registration under Hiking and Outdoors)
- NEW this year a level 2 for those who have done the Intro to Rattlesnake Avoidance. We'll do a review and some advanced setups to walk the dogs through! (registration under Hiking and Outdoors)

Choose your own adventure . . .

So you guys... this is how the alert is transferred to a rattlesnake. This dog has An extensive Training background and had a good alert Behavior foundation coming into the workshop! So we added the snake asked for the alert over approximately 5, 2 minute turns with the decoy and viola now she does it without being cued by mom. Dog sees/hears and smells snake=hit moms hand with nose. 💥

Know that one day your young dog that chases deer will still chase deer (but will fail). Your young dog who digs in your huge potted house plants and rubs them into the carpet will one day not lift her head when you depart. Your young dog who poops and pees in the garbage when you leave won’t be able to jump the baby gate that you put there to stop her. Know that the young dog that you rejoice in watching chase a ball will one day have a hitch in her giddy up but will still smile when you pick up a ball. Know that while things may be tough now, one day, they will change. For the only constant is change itself.
