April is Heartworm Prevention Month! 🐾💙

We’re kicking things off with a month full of fun, bite-sized posts all about heartworms—what they are, why they matter, and how to keep your pets safe (don’t worry, we’ll keep it simple and maybe even a little fun 😉).

First tip: one of the BEST things you can do for your pet is a yearly heartworm test and keeping them on prevention all year long. Consistency = protection! 🐶🐱

The good news? You’ve got options! We carry a wide variety of parasite preventions right here in the clinic, and we’re happy to help you find the perfect fit for your pet’s lifestyle.

Give us a call or stop by anytime to chat—we love talking about keeping your pets happy and healthy! 🐾✨

We love getting to spend time out of the clinic with our community!!!

⚠️ PUBLIC HEALTH NOTICE: Fayetteville Animal Services is alerting residents to a recent spike in Canine Distemper Virus (CDV) cases within the local raccoon population. While the virus does NOT pose a health threat to humans, it is contagious and potentially fatal for domestic dogs.

RECOGNIZING THE SIGNS:
• Disorientation: Raccoons appearing "drunk," stumbling or wandering aimlessly.
• Unusual Behavior: Being active during the day and showing no fear of humans or loud noises.
• Physical Symptoms: Discharge from the eyes or nose (looking like a "cold"), matted fur or seizures/tremors.
