Dress Up Cat

Dress Up Cat Fun feline photography greeting cards for all occasions & the life & adventures of BooBoo the tabby Hi, my name is Boo Boo. I'm a 16 lb., 22 in. long tabby cat.

I adopted my humans in the fall of 2005. I spruced myself up prior to my first encounter with Carla in the garden- my fur was like cashmere, my teeth shiny and white. I got some delicious raw turkey meat, and it was love at first bite. It didn't take too long before I became part of the family, and soon moved up to King of the Castle. This silly photography thing all started when I found a comfy b

ed in a big Easter basket. Next thing I knew I was sleeping with chicks, sheep and ducks, and shortly after I began to grow rabbit ears. Though I'm pretty shy around strangers, I am quite the ham in front of a camera. It's a great way to get a lot of attention and tasty treats. The way I figure it, if my photos make a human smile or laugh, then my hard work of looking cute was worth it. The felines in my neighborhood are quite jealous of my extensive wardrobe. Did I mention I love to dress up for the holidays? My photos are as you see them, they are NOT digitally altered.

Nice yesterday snowshoe to Spark's Lake- happy to see there is still a good amount of snow- had to abort our mission along the Ray Atkeson trail- (too much snow to find the trail) & I was chicken with some of the creepy lava pot holes...solitude.

Escalante area: an interesting, but sad story from one of our hiking books of the Southwest (& a relative): Apparently in the 1950's, a truck with 3 young guys barreled off a narrow, gravel road & into a very deep canyon. Unsure if they lost control or were drinking, but the truck was found 3 days later with no survivors. That deep canyon is called Bull Valley Gorge, & we considered climbing down into it's bowels & darkness, but after looking at our options (a short rope, a very remote area, no cell service, lady at visitor center said it had mud pits waist deep & possible quick sand)- we talked ourselves out of this accident waiting to happen. But interestingly, we were looking for the crashed truck as we walked along the top, & I saw something shiny below the bridge- it was THE truck. We met a guy on a prior hike, who is the nephew of the deceased driver- he asked if we were going to the Gorge to see his father's brother's truck. We said we may get there if we had time...weird juju...

Highlight of our Utah trip- Peek-a-Boo & Spooky slot canyons 2 mile loop. We did part of these slots 10 yrs. ago, but this time was much more difficult climbing up into Peek-a-Boo (age???!)- so we met a very fun & helpful family with 2 young strong bucks who adopted us & helped us get thru a few tough spots, like a pour-off chest high, etc. Was an incredible 2 hours of intense moments, but so much fun, especially watching the young kids scramble around like monkeys. Narrowest spot is 10 inches- not really sure how we wiggled thru it...thankful we had a clear passageway, with no one coming in the slots, as we were going out- no room for leap frogging 🐸 A 60-ish y/o man got lost with no map or water per his daughter- search & rescue came as we were leaving- hope they found him...

Day 3 at Capital Reef: Grand Wash to Cassidy (yep- Butch) Arch (where a gal belaying got her hair caught in the rope- when we left she was giving herself a haircut). Recently back from a 12 day trip to Utah- we were really missing the Southwest & it's magnificent scenery- on our way out McKenzie River Valley- the gorse has gone bananas since the fire- it's worth a drive for all the color. The afternoon we arrived to Capital Reef N.P., we hiked the Chimney Rock loop, overlooking the valley & highway. And a photo of Hickman Bridge hike. And we decided to trade in our little camper for a wagon, since we had such a restful night in it (not). Sorry these pics are from my phone- will have to try to post some from our cameras, which are much better, at some point...
