Hi all!

I apologize for being off this page for so long. There have been a lot of things going on both personally and professionally that have required my attention and delayed the next phase of Zany Zoo.

I'm really excited for this next phase of the store. Over the twelve years I have owned the store, there has been a huge change in the way people shop and interact. A larger portion of consumer's budgets are being spent on services and shopping has transitioned to more of an online format. With the ongoing EmX additions, travel is about to get a whole lot more difficult through the Eugene and Springfield areas.

It is with all of this in mind, as well as several other factors, that I am opting to not open a brick and mortar location at this time, but instead look forward to adapting to the way in which the markets and consumer's habits are changing. In a few weeks (hopefully shorter then that), I (with a whole lot of help) will be launching an online storefront. This won't be your typical online storefront. Yes, this will allow me to broaden the base of Zany Zoo, but more importantly, it will give me a way to continue and expand serving the local customers by adding delivery options. So you will still be able to get the same great selection and products and critters in a way that has adapted to the changing economic environments. Until the storefront is up and running, you can email me at [email protected] for your pet needs.
We will continue to help people find loving homes for their babies, from new to old.

We are still doing presentations, petting zoo's, and birthday parties. Education has and will continue to be a central focus of what we do and will become increasingly important in the future.

Boarding will continued to be offered as a service. As will nail trims.

I owe all of you an apology for having been out of touch and my failure to return phone calls. It was unprofessional for me to drop off the face of the earth. While I could use excuses to justify my actions, that isn't my style and is not helpful to anyone.

The website will be down a bit longer while we are getting ready for launch. I have had a bit of difficulty with getting the phone lines changed over, but I haven't given up yet.

I, along with both my family and Zoo family, have appreciated the many well wishes and thoughts that have been sent our way with regards to everything that has happened. They have meant a lot to us. Believe me when I say that we miss you all just as much as you miss us.

Thank you for your continued patience with this transition and I hope you all are as excited as I am for this new direction and adventure.
