🐾 Happy National Rescue Dog Day 🐾

Today we celebrate the dogs who got a second chance — and the people who gave it to them. Rescue dogs come with stories, resilience, big feelings, goofy habits, and so much love. Whether they came from a shelter, a rescue, a rehome, or straight off the streets, they deserve patience, compassion, and the opportunity to learn that the world can be safe again. ❤️

At The Training Spot, we know rescue dogs aren’t “broken.” Sometimes they just need support, communication, and a little extra time to build confidence. Watching a once fearful or uncertain dog begin to play, trust, and thrive is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

We’re still wagging our tails over this weekend! 🐾

Thanks to this incredible community, Training Spot’s Team Bark took the #1 fundraising spot at Bark in the Park with a total of $4,233 raised for Greenhill Humane Society! 🎉

We’re so grateful to everyone who donated, walked, stopped by our booth, shared kind words, or simply showed up to support the animals in our community. Seeing so many dogs (and dog people) together for such a good cause was amazing. 💙

Huge thank you to for hosting another fantastic event — and congratulations to all the teams and participants who helped make a difference for local pets in need.

Bark in the Park is TOMORROW (Sunday, May 17th) and our Training Spot Team Bark is currently sitting at #2 in fundraising — just $500 behind first place!

We already blew past our $3,500 goal thanks to our incredible community, but we’d love to finish strong for the animals at Greenhill Humane Society. Every dollar goes directly to helping animals right here in Eugene.

Happy National Dog Mom Day to the women who carry treats in every pocket, schedule their lives around potty breaks, celebrate tiny training wins like Olympic medals, and somehow still make room on the bed. 💛
