OUR STORY

Allied Veterinary Service, a private locally-owned clinic, was created in response to a community-wide need for Emergency and Critical Care services in the Eau Claire, Brooklyn Park, and Twin Cities area. We provide care 24/7 in Minneapolis, overnight and 24/7 weekend and holiday care in Eau Claire and Anoka, and urgent care in Brooklyn Park.

🐶 Does your dog constantly shake their head?

A quick shake every now and then is normal. But if your dog is shaking their head every few minutes, scratching at their ears nonstop, or has ears that smell unpleasant, it could be a sign of an ear infection. 👂

Watch for these common warning signs:

✅ Frequent head shaking
✅ Excessive ear scratching
✅ Red, irritated, or smelly ears

The longer an ear infection goes untreated, the more uncomfortable it can become. In some cases, excessive head shaking can even lead to a painful ear hematoma that requires medical treatment.

When in doubt, it’s always worth having those ears checked. ❤️🐾
