Anyone who has visited our tiny rustic clinic can agree: It is not adequate for the high volume of animals that we help every day!
Each day is a new adventure, and not always in a good way!
We’ve dealt with mysterious power outages, flooding inside the building & out on the street,
shifting foundation, cracking ceilings, squirrels living upstairs, stray cats crawling in our basement, and opossums chilling on our roof.
Not to mention a few hair-raising ghostly encounters (doors slamming, things mysteriously falling, footsteps upstairs, and a creeeeeepy basement to die for)!!
And we’ve had our share of paying it forward to the community. In the Spring of 2017, we donated our adjacent house (small and unused) to the Concord Fire Department for controlled burn training lessons. The whole neighborhood came out to watch, but we still worked that day! :)
It certainly has been an uphill battle for us, working out of this crumbling 1930’s house while we attempt to save $$$ for a new and well-suited surgical facility. We are hoping that our dreams will be coming true just around the corner!! Please consider making a donation today and Follow Us for more updates as our building saga unfolds!
