𝐎𝐐𝐇𝐘𝐀 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐎𝐧 𝐎𝐊𝐂

The Ohio Quarter Horse Youth Association had an amazing showing at the 2025 AQHYA World Championship Show in OKC! Bringing home 9 Champions, 9 Reserve Champions, 5 Bronze Champions, 17 Top 5 placings, 25 Top Ten placings, and 28 Finalist placings, Ohio youth also won the overall Team Spirit Award, Scrapbook Contest, and were second in the Justin Boots Contest.

Our own Ohio Amateur Quarter Horse Association hosted their fan-favorite AQHA Top 10 show The Little Buckeye this past weekend at Garwood Arena, and it was a smashing success!

𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐞: 𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐮𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐞

What started with rain quickly turned into a beautiful day for the 5th annual Congress Cup. This year's outing saw the most players ever, with 24 registered teams. Raising money for Ohio Quarter Horse Foundation scholarships, the event generated $37,000 for the youth. Thank you to all of the golfers and sponsors for supporting such a great cause!

𝐅𝐮𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐐𝐇𝐀 𝐏𝐢𝐜𝐧𝐢𝐜!

OQHA members enjoyed some fun in the sun at this year's annual picnic, generously hosted at the beautiful farm of J.L. and Penny Robinson in Bellefontaine.

Held Monday, June 23, the picnic was once again a favorite event for members and their families, with over 100 guests in attendance.

The 3-day Mt Trail Challenge and OQHA Annual Trail Ride was held this past weekend at Creek Side Horse Park, and was, as usual, a fun and family-centered event! Competitors enjoyed the Mt Trail course and then relaxed on the quiet trails through the Ohio countryside.

Thank you to Ohio Director Cynthia Bauman and her team for putting on a great event, and Ohio Honorary Director Todd Salome and Ohio staff members for coming by to visit with our Mt Trail exhibitors.

Ohio Quarter Horse Association is saddened to share the passing of OQHA Honorary Director, Ron McCarty. Ron served as a Director from 1988 to 2012, when he was elevated to Honorary Director. Ron also served as 2nd Vice President in 1991, 1992, and 1995. Ron will always be remembered by the Association for his dedication, work ethic, and fun-loving spirit at OQHA events and the All American Quarter Horse Congress.
