www.straycatblues.org Mission Statement: Stray Cat Blues, Inc. is a no-kill, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We rescue stray and abandoned cats and kittens located primarily in Montgomery and Bucks and other suburban Philadelphia counties, and find them safe and appropriate homes. Personally, SCB is a small group of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to find loving, life-long homes for ab

andoned cats. We are professional in our practices, but we are emotional on the subject of homeless cats, and the ways in which we humans can work to prevent this epidemic of strays. Stray Cat Blues actively works to recruit permanent homes for the stray cats in our program. All the animals are screened for feline leukemia, inoculated, sterilized and wormed when they first come to us. Healthy, adoptable cats are then housed through our network of foster homes. Our kittens and cats are exposed to the pet-loving public at our 4 different adoption cage locations to facilitate adoptions and to provide visibility for the organization. In addition to placement of sociable cats and kittens, a major focus of Stray Cat Blues is to place feral and unsociable cats in qualified barn homes. Like our house cats, our barn cats are delivered to their new homes by a Stray Cat Blues volunteer. We provide our barn cats with a cozy "cat condominium" to live in for the first few weeks of life in their new location. The crate allows the cats to acclimate to their new home without the danger of having them run away in search of their old stomping grounds. We are willing to go to great lengths for our cats - quite literally! We will gladly travel to approved barn homes within an approximate 100 mile radius of the Lansdale and Montgomeryville area to deliver our helpful mousers. Most of our cats are strays and their offspring that are rescued from area locations. Many of these strays are more than willing to be helped by our volunteers. But for those animals that are more wary of humans, especially the feral cats, we utilize humane traps. Many of our kittens are born to mother cats that we have rescued. Email: [email protected]

Meet our beautiful black-and-white mama cat, a sweet and loving girl who has done an amazing job raising her three kittens. Now that her babies are growing up, it’s finally her turn to be spoiled with a forever home of her own.

She is friendly, social, and enjoys being around people once she gets to know you. Whether she’s following you around the house, relaxing nearby, or asking for pets and attention, she loves being part of the family. Her gentle personality makes her easy to love.

Sally came from a TNR site in Lansdale as an 8 week old kitten with her sister. She was a very feisty kitten, but she decided that the eye drops the human was giving her for her eye infection made her feel better so she thought maybe humans may be ok. It took a long time for her to come around and she is still very skittish, but when you earn her trust, she is a love machine. She absolutely goes nuts for pets and play time. She will sit on your lap when you get her warmed up. She is looking for a quiet, predictable home with a cat savvy owner who can give her lots of love.

If you are looking for a cool cat, Noodle is your guy!

Noodle came from a local colony of cats. The only food available to them was what they could find in the trash pile. When Noodle's trapper had him neutered and brought him home to recover, she thought she could see something in him that made her not want to put him back out. She was right. I became his foster and with patience and love, Noodle has blossomed into a really fun, cool cat.

He likes to play with cat springs and chase string. Catnip mice do not stand a chance with him. Noodle gets along really well with other cats. He needs to go to a home with another cat or be adopted with one of his buddies. He is used to being around other cats and would be lonely without a buddy cat. He likes to be petted but isn't crazy about being picked up--yet. I think that could change when he settles into his forever home.

He is a little shy at first but warms up quickly. Fostering cats isn't easy, but every now and then one comes along that you will never forget and Noodle is that way for me. To take a stray cat, and have them start to trust you and let their guard down after a few months and have a chance at a good life in a forever home, makes it all worth it.

Please consider giving Noodle a forever home. It won't take long for him to win your heart over, too.

Sourdough is exactly the affectionate, easygoing lap cat you’ve been searching for. Also known as Dough, Miss Lady, Sweet Pea, and Cutie, she’s the kind of cat who inspires many nicknames thanks to her sweet, lively personality.

Dough started life as the runt of a barn-cat litter, but her adorable face and spirited attitude quickly won over a family who loved her dearly. Sadly, due to difficult circumstances, they were forced to give her up in hopes of finding her the safe, loving home they could no longer provide.

Despite the changes in her life, this spunky, petite, senior lady hasn’t lost her spark. Dough adapts easily to new environments and quickly makes herself at home — usually by claiming a lap or greeting you at the door each day with her soft, breathy mews. She is litter trained, tidy, playful like a kitten, and equally happy to curl up for a cozy nap beside her favorite human. You will see in her video how enthusiastic she is about her tunnel!

Dough enjoys meeting new people and gets along well with other cats. She could also do well as your one and only. Dough is 11 years old and was unfortunately declawed by a previous owner, but she has never let it dampen her loving personality and shows no signs of discomfort.

Simply put, Dough is one of the sweetest cats you could ever hope to meet. Words hardly capture the love, gentleness, and gratitude she shows every day. Her foster will be heartbroken to say goodbye, but so happy to see her welcomed into a home that appreciates everything she has to give — and how little she asks in return.
