www.straycatblues.org Mission Statement: Stray Cat Blues, Inc. is a no-kill, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We rescue stray and abandoned cats and kittens located primarily in Montgomery and Bucks and other suburban Philadelphia counties, and find them safe and appropriate homes. Personally, SCB is a small group of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to find loving, life-long homes for ab

andoned cats. We are professional in our practices, but we are emotional on the subject of homeless cats, and the ways in which we humans can work to prevent this epidemic of strays. Stray Cat Blues actively works to recruit permanent homes for the stray cats in our program. All the animals are screened for feline leukemia, inoculated, sterilized and wormed when they first come to us. Healthy, adoptable cats are then housed through our network of foster homes. Our kittens and cats are exposed to the pet-loving public at our 4 different adoption cage locations to facilitate adoptions and to provide visibility for the organization. In addition to placement of sociable cats and kittens, a major focus of Stray Cat Blues is to place feral and unsociable cats in qualified barn homes. Like our house cats, our barn cats are delivered to their new homes by a Stray Cat Blues volunteer. We provide our barn cats with a cozy "cat condominium" to live in for the first few weeks of life in their new location. The crate allows the cats to acclimate to their new home without the danger of having them run away in search of their old stomping grounds. We are willing to go to great lengths for our cats - quite literally! We will gladly travel to approved barn homes within an approximate 100 mile radius of the Lansdale and Montgomeryville area to deliver our helpful mousers. Most of our cats are strays and their offspring that are rescued from area locations. Many of these strays are more than willing to be helped by our volunteers. But for those animals that are more wary of humans, especially the feral cats, we utilize humane traps. Many of our kittens are born to mother cats that we have rescued. Email: [email protected]

Hello, I'm Banzai!

I'm not a hyena from the Lion King, but rather, a sweet, quiet companion. I'm a bit shy and it takes me a while to adjust to new things, but don't let that fool you. I'm mellow and gentle, preferring quiet corners and soft voices. I think I'd do well with a friend, someone to share my journey with. I'm hoping for a loving home, a place where I can grow and flourish. I’m just a gentle soul looking for a loving home. Adopting me would bring a peaceful and loving companion into your life.

Meet Pigeon! Meet the second group of hatchlings, Dove, Pigeon, and Starling. Pigeon is a gorgeous diluted calico. She has one striped leg that looks like she swiped from an orange tabby. This one loves to climb and play, but is also affectionate and social. She definitely wants to be noticed. Pigeon gets along great with her siblings and step siblings and is interested in anyone that stops by to see the kittens. She is a very social and loving kitten. Please open your heart and home to this lovely girl.

Goose was the last of 8 tiny birds to migrate to her foster flock. Since she was all alone outside before, with just her mama cat, she instantly relaxed around a young female resident cat in her foster home. Lucy Goosey will do best in a home with another cat, or she can be adopted with another kitten. She has the sweetest, warmest, calm nature, and loves to have her back scratched and just sit and watch tv with you. Being an only kitten with her wild mama cat, she got all the mothering attention, so she now wants to mother the smaller younger kittens in her foster home and will reach her little paw to comfort them when they cry. Lucy is happiest stretching out and getting her belly rubbed, after it is nice and full from a good meal. She seems to always have a warm smile, and so much gratitude for being rescued from outside. The sweetest thing that she does is to gently lick your hand for several minutes, to show her love and appreciation.

Meet Starling! Meet the second group of hatchlings, Dove, Pigeon, and Starling. Starling is the smartest kitten in this bunch of wise birds. She knows when play time is over and she does not want it to be. All of the other kittens are tucked in for the night, but where is Starling? She has always found a new spot to hide so that she can stay up late to play. She wants to have fun! She now thinks it's a game. Starling has a beautiful light gray coat with very faint swirls and a very faint orange coloring that shows through. I hope whoever adopts this baby sends me pictures when she grows up, so I can see what a gorgeous cat she is going to turn out to be!

Treasure is a beautiful, silly, loving floof who has been waiting waaaay too long for a loving, patient adopter to take a chance on her. She was trapped as an older kitten in 2018, and went into foster care and was adopted and blossomed with her humans and turned into love bug, house cat.

A year later, another cat in the home began to relentlessly bully her, which helped us realize she's extremely submissive to and afraid of most cats. In her best interest, she was returned to her foster home. She has really blossomed into a super sweet kitty with her foster mom. She will be a wonderful companion for someone who wants a kitty who will always want to hang out with them.

Once she's comfortable with her human, Treasure's funny and loving personality comes out and you get to hear her adorable little meows when she's begging for treats or snuggles and see her swoosh her floofy tail at you to ask for back and butt scritches. She loves to snuggle on her foster mom's legs or just hang out on the couch next to her more than anything in the world. She also likes to bat and chase balls around the room when she's in the mood.

Treasure needs to be an only kitty or be adopted with her foster buddy, Jla, who is the only kitty she's gotten along with. To ensure she feels safe, she is best suited to a quiet home with no other cats or dogs and no small children. Along with regular wet food, she eats the prescription dry food for stress, which lasts her quite a long time. She would do best with an experienced cat owner who is home often and will be patient and understanding to give her the time she needs to acclimate. She's a very special kitty, who deserves a loving, safe, stable home where she can thrive again.

Meet Manuka! She is a an approximately 3 year old female spayed cat up to date on her vaccines and FELV/FIV negative. Manuka is an outgoing feline with a quirky personality. She gets along with most cats, dogs, and children. She loves to play and sit on your lap for all the pets she can get! Manuka came to us with a large wound around her neck we thought was due to an embedded collar. Turns out she has severe allergies and was causing these wounds herself. She is on long term medications and a prescription diet to control her allergies. Please consider opening up your heart and home to this very special girl.

Amber is a beautiful tabico cat with piercing eyes. She is a sweet girl who will start off shy but once she is comfortable with you will come over for head rubs and pets. She has a silly side to her and will run in excitement when you have a Churro! While in foster she has become best buds with Momma Bear and she would love to be adopted with her, if you do not have another friendly cat for her to have for company. So although she may take a little time to warm up once she does she give you the most loving stare and gentle purr thanking you for giving her a chance. She is looking for a quieter home to settle in with her forever person.

Dumped on a property in Green Lane in May 2023 along with 3 other cats scared and unsure of what what they did to deserve that. Stray Cat Blues was contacted by the property owner to help catch the kittens she had and trap, spay, and release Amber back. Her kittens were easily caught and they have now found their forever family. She showed that she had a sweet spirit and the trapper decided to give her a chance to once again become a house cat. Will you give this girl her happily ever-after?
