After a frightening encounter with a dog, this sweet girl was brought to us by a Good Samaritan for emergency care. While no external wounds were initially identified, she had suffered significant head trauma from the attack. Over the following days, she developed a fever, stopped eating, and began showing signs of inflammation within the fatty tissue of her abdomen, along with a small abdominal wall hernia related to her injuries.

She remained hospitalized with us for supportive care, including IV fluids, medications, nutritional support, and placement of a feeding tube while she recovered. After being discharged to her foster, Dr. Sullivan, she slowly began to turn the corner — and shortly after arriving home, she started eating on her own again.

Thanks to the efforts of everyone involved, her family reached out, and she was finally reunited with the people — and canine/feline housemates — who missed her so much. ❤️

She continues to improve every day and is very happy to be back where she belongs. We are so grateful to the Good Samaritan who stepped in to help, and we’re honored we could be part of her journey home.

Emergency visits can be stressful—we’re here to support you and your pet every step of the way.

When you arrive, our team will quickly gather information and begin an initial assessment. We use a triage system, meaning pets are treated based on the severity of their condition. Critical patients are seen immediately, while stable pets may experience a wait.

Once your pet is stable, we’ll walk you through recommended diagnostics, treatment options, and next steps—keeping you informed throughout your visit.

Thank you for trusting us with your pet’s care. 💙
