And now for the wonderful two newest members of our team, Jessica and Saranda!

These two couldn’t have come into our practice family at a better time—and they fit perfectly right in!

Confident and skilled Jessica always puts others first. She’s always there when you need a helping hand, and she thrives under pressure.

Saranda, our gentle soul with a strong spirit, will never leave you stranded. Capable and kind, you can always count on her support and her dedication to your pets.

This wraps up our team appreciation week…stay tuned for more from us soon! We love all of our teammates and can’t say enough good things about them.

Next up in our meet the team series: Taylor and Amanda!

Taylor is the smiling, bubbly face and voice many people hear or see when they enter or call Epic Tails for the first time. She takes care of us and she takes absolutely excellent care of her patients, treating everybody with respect and dedication.

Amanda is our resident cheerleader, the one in everyone’s corner, be it patient or person. She’s quick with a helping hand and quicker with a kind word.

These two women are a big part of what makes our hospital special, and we are so proud that they call Epic Tails home!

Stay tuned for more staff features tomorrow!

Kicking off this week is a feature on two of our longest-tenured VA’s: Lauren and Leja!

Lauren is a “day one OG”—she’s been with Epic Tails for as long as Epic Tails has been a thing. She’s calm, cool, collected under pressure and 100% dedicated to providing the highest level of care and thoughtfulness to her patients.

Leja is the one you rely on when you need a shoulder to lean on. Whether you’re a dog, a cat, or a human, her caring spirit and gentle soul are here for you.

We are so grateful to both of these women for the unique attributes they bring to the table. They help make Epic Tails the clinic it is meant to be. Stay tuned this week to learn more about our team members, as we celebrate them!

Have you ever heard of a Calm & Cozy Cat Wrap? We utilize them at our practice to provide calming pressure to cats for blood draws and other procedures. It feels like a gentle hug, which in turn releases endorphins. This method of calming pressure as restraint was first proposed by Temple Grandin, a pioneer in low-stress handling and animal behavior research.

Kronk was an absolute gentleman for his bloodwork, and here you can see how handsome he looks in his wrap! 😍

At Epic Tails, we don’t scruff or pin down cats. We don’t push them past their limits. We listen to them, respect their boundaries, and practice compassion and sensitivity in their handling. Sometimes that means a calming wrap, and sometimes that means providing oral calming medications to help them have a positive vet visit.

Contact us today to schedule a consultation or exam for your kitty. We can’t wait to meet them! (Especially Dr. Becktell…card-carrying cat lady! 😹)

Ever heard of a “ketamine vacation” to manage chronic pain?

Ketamine infusion is just one of the ways we provide pain management to pets with chronic pain. When you approach an old problem in new ways, great things can happen. Our clinic stays abreast of the newest studies and therapies to help pets in pain—schedule your consultation today!

Appointments can be made online at www.epictailsvet.com, or by calling 704-523-8015. New clients receive $50 off their first pet’s exam fee, at their first visit!

We loved hosting everyone for the first Epic Tails Academy! Attendees learned all about scratching and itching in cats and dogs—including parasites, allergies, and atopy!

Even Archie learned a thing or two! 🤭🐶🤓
