Lots of extra attention for this little guy. 🥹♥️
Little Squeaker was falling behind his siblings in weight gain, so since last Thursday, we’ve been keeping a close eye on him, supervising feedings, and making sure he always had a good spot at the milk bar. 🐾
Tuesday night, I noticed he was becoming weak and fading quickly despite all our efforts to keep him fed. I didn’t want to take any chances, so I gave him a few drops of sugar water while we rushed him to the MSU Emergency Veterinary Clinic late that night.
Thankfully, we learned he had no apparent birth defects or abnormalities that would prevent him from nursing, and he was stable when we arrived. He was, however, dehydrated and still needed some extra help getting the nutrition he needed.
Since Tuesday night, we’ve been supplementing with formula around the clock, so we can closely monitor exactly how much he’s eating and make sure he’s getting what he needs. ⏰🍼
And now for the update we’ve been hoping for… Little Squeaker is thriving again! 😍
It’s been a little bit of a roller coaster with this one, but he’s showing us just how much fight he has in him. We’re so happy to see this little guy bouncing back! 🩵
