Some patient relationships are just a little extra special. โค๏ธ

Dr. Whitsett and sweet Braeburn have quite the history together, and it didnโ€™t take long for Braeburn to steal the hearts of the rest of our Healthy Pets family, too. ๐Ÿพ

This weekend, the white coat came off and the adventure shoes went on! Dr. Whitsett spent the weekend exploring the trails with Braeburn โ€” complete with fresh air, plenty of sniffing, and even a new tortoise friend along the way. ๐Ÿข๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ˜‚

Because sometimes caring for our patients goes far beyond the walls of the clinic. We love getting to be a part of their lives, their adventures, and all the moments in between. ๐Ÿ’š

Not every cytology starts with a lump or bump! ๐Ÿ‘€

This slide came from a tape prep of a skin infection, and those purple cells are telling us thereโ€™s a LOT going on. ๐Ÿ”ฌ

Weโ€™re seeing plenty of neutrophils โ€” inflammatory cells that rush to the scene when the skin is irritated or infected. Cytology can also help us look for bacteria and yeast, giving our doctors valuable information to help determine the best treatment plan.

Sometimes all it takes is a little piece of tape to get a BIG look at whatโ€™s happening on the skin. ๐Ÿฆ ๐Ÿ”Ž

Bruno is giving us some serious Friday afternoon energy while waking up from anesthesia after his melanoma removal. ๐Ÿ’ค๐Ÿพ

That adorable, slightly โ€œwhat year is it?โ€ look can be totally normal during anesthetic recovery! As patients wake up, they may be sleepy, wobbly, confused, extra cuddlyโ€ฆ or in Brunoโ€™s case, forget to put their tongue back where it belongs. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Our team stays right by their side during recovery, keeping them warm, comfortable, and closely monitored until theyโ€™re awake and ready to head home. โค๏ธ
