Meet Minnow, a sweet five-month-old brown tabby girl with the softest eyes and a gentle personality.

Minnow arrived at Castoff Pet Rescue in June with her rescue littermates. While shelter life can be busy, Minnow is all about calm moments, gentle chin scratches, and peaceful cat naps. She shares Cat Room 3 with her feline friends, gets along wonderfully with other cats, and is fully litter box trained.

She is ready to find her forever family! Her adoption fee is $150, which covers her spay, microchip, and all up-to-date vaccinations.

To meet Minnow, submit an adoption application here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CPRG/Cat

🍭🎉 CANDY IS ON HER WAY HOME! 🎉🍭

After four years with us, our shelter legend is headed to her new home in New York!

Candy came to Castoff Pet Rescue in October 2022. She watched so many friends come and go, and every single volunteer fell in love with her within minutes. Our kissing machine, our love tank, our happiness with legs. ❤️

Now she’s going to be the one and only star, just like she always wanted. All the love, all the snacks, all the couch space. 🛋️

To Candy’s new family: thank you for choosing her. To every volunteer who walked her, played with her and cheered her on for four years: this one’s for you. 🐾

Be the goodest girl, Candy. We love you! 🍭💕

🐾 THANK YOU! 🐾

To everyone who sent something from our Walmart wish list: your gifts have been arriving, and every box makes a real difference for the dogs and cats in our care at Castoff Pet Rescue.

You may never meet the pups and kitties you helped, but they feel it every day. We couldn’t do this without you. 💛

These are the Red Dogs: Molly's Redbone Coonhound puppies. They were born into a hoarding situation, and some of them were dumped on Franklin Mountain before Castoff brought them to safety.

What you're hearing is real. Our staff and volunteers sit with them in the play yard every day, talking them through it ("I know you're still nervy, it's okay though"), and every day they trust people a little more.

Their mom, Molly, has found her home. Now it's their turn. Ducky, Tayto, and Cricket are waiting at Castoff, and Dottie is with our Alpharetta foster group. Their birthday on file is October 24, so they just turned one!

They are good with other dogs, playful, and still learning house manners, so they're looking for patient families who will keep up the training. Some of them are still shy with new people. And they're hounds, so they need a tall, secure fence. Adoption fee: $300 each.

Thank you to Rosemary and every volunteer who sits in the dirt with these pups.

To meet the Red Dogs, fill out this form: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CPRG/Dog and someone will give you a call to schedule a meet and greet time. Visit https://castoffpetrescue.org/ for more info!

Trunk or Treat at Castoff Pet Rescue!

Come join us for our annual Trunk or Treat! Bring your dressed-up kiddos to show off their costumes — our volunteers and staff will have their cars decked out and their candy buckets full (we call it “strategic bribery” to see all those adorable costumes).

There may also be a few costumed critters in attendance… possibly even Vivi in a hot dog suit.

It’s a low-key, family-fun afternoon before you head off to the big Halloween events — just sweet treats, happy faces, and wagging tails.

Friday, October 30th
3 PM – 6 PM
240 Patton Place, Blairsville, GA 30512
Enter through the second driveway and park by the big white tent!

Come for the candy, stay for the puppy snuggles!
