Reuniting lost pets with their families just got easier. Mountain Shelter Humane Society in collaboration with Fannin County Barking Buddies is thrilled to announce that two Community Microchip Scan Stations are now available in Fannin County. Stations are available at Blue Ridge Adventure Dog in Blue Ridge, GA and Toccoa River Park in McCaysville, GA. The 24/7 accessible stations allow anyone who finds a lost pet to quickly check for a microchip, facilitating faster reunions. The stations were generously funded by United Community Bank and Mountain Shelter Humane Society.

We extend many thanks to the folks at Blue Ridge Adventure Dog and the City of McCaysville, GA for making this service possible. Working together for our communities we are quickly and safely reuniting loving families with their pets.

Located at the entrance of the dog park adjacent to the Senior Center.

Next time you’re there, take a minute to scan your dog and help keep them safe and identifiable.
