Natalie Update

Just a quick message to all concerned that Natalie has completed the second of three treatments this week and is doing well. She has the third treatment in September 8th. The treatments are 3 days in a row, 3 weeks apart. Her next Pet Scan is scheduled for September 19th. After we get results we will post the information. As many of you are aware, the last scan revealed excellent news. We are cautiously optimistic this scan will bear the same results. The business was reopened August 01 st and it’s great to see familiar faces both two and four legged. There’s still a few openings in November and December but they’re filling rather quickly. Just a reminder that we are reopening August 01st. If you have current reservations they are valid and still on our calendar. If you had to find alternate plans due to our brief closure we understand. If you need to cancel as a result, please leave us a voicemail or text concerning any other arrangements. Today I started attempting confirmation and contact with the August reservations. Most should be completed by next week. Thank you, Mike.

Finally some good news!!!!!

Yesterday we got the results of Natalie’s Pet Scan and we are happy to say that the current chemotherapy treatments are working!!!! The scan revealed her liver and abdominal areas are clear now and the original tumor is shrinking. She is scheduled to resume the same treatments effective July 28th. The treatments consist of three days of a series of chemotherapy. Each segment of treatment is spread out over three (3) days and they are scheduled three (3) weeks apart. After her third treatment another Pet Scan will be taken to document her progress. We are both absolutely thrillled to finally receive good news . We want to thank each and everyone who have supported us during this difficult time. The support and concern on her behalf has been really amazing and has made this easier to handle. At this time we would like to announce our reopening of the kennel effective August 01, 2025. We are looking forward to seeing everyone once again and providing you quality pet care. Starting tomorrow we will try to contact those with upcoming reservations already planned for August. We are aware that some have scheduled elsewhere and we apologize for any inconvenience however Natalie’s condition required extensive treatments and time . It was for that reason we were temporarily closed. Effective August 01 our hours of operation have changed slightly. We are still open every weekday 8-4 however drop offs or pick up times are now between 8-11 a or 1-3 p. We will be closed from 11a to 1 p. Our weekend hours Saturday and Sunday remain the same , Saturday 8-11a and Sunday 8-10a for pick ups only. Again we thank everyone for their support and look forward to seeing you in a few weeks. Just a short update on Natalie’s progress. She’s doing fine and resting comfortably at home. She’s been feeling pretty good and maintaining weight but her energy level is very low as result of treatments. We both very much appreciate the messages and concern on her behalf. Her next treatment is scheduled for June 30th. The treatment regimen is a three day process ( outpatient) and shortly afterwards she will have a Pet Scan to see the results. We will post her progress at that time and hopefully be able to give everyone an idea of reopening date(s). Due to unexpected news, we will be temporarily closing beginning June 9th, 2025. Unfortunately my cancer has spread and I will be undergoing more treatments. At this point, we need to concentrate on my health and well being so I can kick cancers ass.

We are reaching out to our clients as we speak in reference to their future reservations. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please keep us in your prayers as I continue to battle this ugly disease.

Once I am well enough to return, we will reopen.

It has been brought to our attention by several of our clients that our website states we are temporarily closed. The website Bunker Hill Kennels states temporarily closed. We ARE NOT Bunker Hill Kennels. That business name belongs to the previous owner who refuses to take down the site OR state the business is under new ownership with the name of Bunker Hill Pet Boarding.

We are Bunker Hill Pet Boarding, NOT Bunker Hill Kennels. We ARE NOT CLOSED or CLOSING. We are accepting reservations for the remainder of 2025 and are accepting reservations for 2026 as well.

Yes, I am still battling cancer and will do so until I kick its ass and I’m in remission. I may not be there on occasion due to treatments, appointments or just not feeling well. Mike and Sheila will be there to assist you with all your boarding needs. They have been absolutely amazing!!!
