Starting this Saturday, we're bringing the dogs to YOU!

Every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, a few of our adoptable shelter dogs will be hanging out at the Mountain Shelter Thrift Store looking for love and their forever families. ❤️

This is a wonderful opportunity for our dogs to get out of the shelter, enjoy a change of scenery, meet lots of new people, and hopefully find the perfect home. Each dog attending will be available for adoption and ready to steal your heart!

Stop by, do a little thrift shopping, meet some amazing pups, and maybe even find your new best friend. 🐶

This morning we received a heartbreaking call from our local Animal Control asking if we could help by taking in seven dogs because their shelter is completely overrun and full. After moving animals around and making space, we agreed to help these babies.

Unfortunately, after testing the puppies when they arrived, four of them tested positive for Parvo. 💔 We have not yet tested the other three dogs, as they have not been brought to us yet, but they will be tested as soon as they arrive.

With the help of Big Bear Veterinary Clinic, we are going to fight for these puppies and give them every chance possible to survive. Parvo treatment is intensive and extremely expensive. Between the antibody injections, IV fluids, anti-nausea medications, and supportive care, treatment will cost approximately $1,000 per puppy.

This is not a normal expense for our shelter, and we simply cannot do this alone. We are asking our wonderful community to please help us save these precious lives. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a difference.
