Happy to the masters of mischief, nap champions, and treat connoisseurs. 😼
They ignore us, sass us, and somehow still have us wrapped around their little paws, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
Give your cat an extra treat today (and share a pic in the comments — they won’t care, but we will).

We’re wrapping up Vet Tech Week, and it’s safe to say our team was showered with lots of love and even more calories! 🤣

We spent the week celebrating the hardworking, compassionate, and dedicated people who do so much for our patients, clients, and hospital every single day. We couldn’t do what we do without them!

A special thank you to our vendors, doctors, and everyone who contributed in any way to making this week special. From the food and treats to the thoughtful gifts and surprises, we appreciate everyone who helped us spoil our team!

Happy Vet Tech Week 💙

Have you ever caught yourself thinking..."Maybe they're just slowing down"?
It's easy to chalk little changes up to getting older. But sometimes they're not signs of aging at all. Sometimes they're signs of arthritis. In fact, osteoarthritis affects 40% of pets — but most go undiagnosed. And the good news? Arthritis pain can often be managed with safe, effective treatments and isn't something your pet simply has to live with. So, if you do notice any potential signs – talk to us! We can help your pet feel like themselves.

🐾 Please join us in welcoming Dr. Julie Duckert to our veterinary family! 🐾

We are so excited to have Dr. Duckert joining our team! Her passion for helping pets and the people who love them makes her the perfect addition to JAH! She greatly enjoys helping clients make informed decisions about their pet’s health care while strengthening the special human-animal bond.

Dr. Duckert was born and raised just outside of New Orleans, Louisiana, where her love for animals began. She went on to earn her Registered Veterinary Technician license from Baton Rouge Community College and her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Louisiana State University. She then moved to Columbus, Ohio, to attend The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2020.

After practicing at a fast-paced hospital in Columbus, Dr. Duckert returned home to Louisiana, where she has continued to build her career and put down roots. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, ultrasound, nutrition, and behavior medicine, and she is also a Certified Fear Free Veterinary Professional.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Duckert enjoys spending time with her husband, their two children, and their dog. She loves enjoying the food and culture of Southeast Louisiana, getting outdoors near the water, reading, and taking Barre Fitness classes.

We are thrilled to have her as part of our team and know our clients and patients will love getting to know her!

Welcome to the team, Dr. Duckert!
