We're already halfway through National Foster Month, but there's still plenty of time to find your perfect match!

This June, all foster adoptions are FREE, making it the perfect time to welcome a new best friend home.

Whether you're looking for a dog who loves other dogs, a pup who does well with cats, a family-friendly companion, or a sweet senior who's already mastered the art of couch lounging, we have foster pets ready to meet you.

Why adopt a foster pet?

💜 They're already living in a home environment
💜 Foster parents know their personalities, routines, and quirks
💜 You can learn how they do with kids, cats, dogs, and everyday life
💜 Every adoption opens a foster home for another pet in need

The pets featured here are just a small sample of the amazing dogs currently living in foster homes through LifeLine Animal Project. Every one of them is helping us learn what makes them special while they wait for a family of their own.

And if you love seeing adoptable pets thriving in foster homes, don't miss the final slide! Follow for foster stories, available pets, and behind the scenes looks at foster life.

Ready to meet your match?

When a stray dog appeared at a North Georgia temple, no one knew exactly where his journey would lead.

What they did know was that he needed help.

The dog, now named ounlong, quickly won over the heart of Maha Dam Phommasan**, a Buddhist monk who welcomed him into the temple community and gave him a home. As Bounlong settled in, it became clear he needed veterinary support, including neuter surgery.

That's where community stepped in.

After meeting Bounlong through her volunteer work at the temple, Missy S, a DeKalb County resident and supporter of LifeLine Animal Project, connected with our team to help make sure he received the care he needed. Missy also leads a homeless pet club at her school, where students raised more than $1,000 for LifeLine this year to help pets and families in need.

Because of supporters like you, LifeLine is able to provide resources and veterinary assistance that help keep pets healthy, supported, and where they belong.

Every donation helps make stories like Bounlong's possible. From beloved pets in our community to animals in shelters waiting for their second chance.

❤️ Help us continue providing lifesaving care to pets and families who need it most by making a gift today.

⚽️🏆 WORLD PUP SPOTLIGHT: LEMONANCY

Representing Team Couch Potato with a surprise specialty in squirrel chasing, Lemonancy is ready to make her debut on the world stage, and she's looking for a loving team to call her own.

At nearly four years old, Lemonancy has already mastered the skills most dogs spend years learning. During her time in a home, she proved herself to be potty trained, crate trained, respectful, and easy to live with. She slept through the night, rarely barked, never begged for food, and loved spending time near her people.

Don't let her calm demeanor fool you, though. When it's game time, Lemonancy loves tug of war, chewing on a good bone, and hopping after squirrels like a little bunny. Afterward? She's ready to collect cuddles, hugs, scratches, and a well earned nap.

🏆 Lemonancy's Player Profile
⚽ Positive history with kids
⚽ Could do well with cats with proper introductions
⚽ Enjoys some dog friends
⚽ Great walking or running companion
⚽ Play first, then snuggle time
⚽ Potty trained and crate trained
⚽ Professional level snorer

Lemonancy is gentle, affectionate, and wonderfully low maintenance. She greets new people politely, enjoys treats and exploring the outdoors, and has the kind of easygoing personality that makes her a great fit for many families.

She's been waiting since September 29, 2025. Now she's ready to trade the shelter for a new loving home.

Could Lemonancy be your MVP? 🏆🐾

Two pups from DeKalb County Animal Services need your help to get life-changing TECA surgery.

Wuffy and Gramps have been living with severe chronic ear disease that causes daily pain and discomfort. After exhausting treatment options, our veterinary team determined that specialized TECA surgery is their best chance at lasting relief. TECA, or Total Ear Canal Ablation, removes a diseased ear canal when chronic ear conditions no longer respond to treatment, helping dogs return to a more comfortable, pain-free life.

Wuffy is a 3-year-old pup who has been in foster care since October 2025. She loves long walks, puzzle toys, sunny naps, and belly rubs. Despite her cheerful personality, she has been struggling with severe infections in both ears for a long time. Even with ongoing treatment, she continues to experience daily discomfort and now needs surgery to finally get the relief she deserves.

Gramps is an 8-year-old pup who has been in foster care since June 2025. He loves chasing tennis balls, going for car rides, and spending time with his people. He has also been living with chronic ear pain that has not improved with treatment. TECA surgery will give him the chance to enjoy his golden years in comfort and without the constant discomfort he has been carrying for so long.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help Wuffy and Gramps get the specialized care they need and move one step closer to a pain-free future.

We recently shared the story of Rotisserie Chicken. If you fast forward to today, we're happy to share that he's living his best life with his new family!

"Chicken has become a beloved member of our family. He adores his sister, Lucy, and he's learning to splash in the pool with her! His favorite activities are sleeping right on top of you and marking every mailbox in the neighborhood. He likes to make appearances in my Zoom meetings and loves, loves, loves destroying his toys. We couldn't be happier to have a home full of love and chaos again. He's the perfect fit for our home and family, and we couldn't imagine life without him. We're so grateful for his foster family and to the loving staff at the Community Animal Center. ❤️"

Did you know Rotisserie Chicken was adopted directly from foster? To celebrate National Foster a Pet Month, all foster adoptions are FREE for the rest of June. If you've been thinking about adding a furry family member to your home, now is the perfect time to adopt a foster pet from one of our shelters!

This June, foster adoptions are FREE, and some of our sweetest senior foster dogs are still waiting for their perfect match.

Senior pets often get overlooked, but they have so much to offer. Many are already house-trained, know how to relax, and are ready to trade shelter life for a cozy couch, daily walks, and a family to call their own.

When you adopt a senior foster pet, you're not just changing one life. You're creating a ripple effect. A foster home opens up, another shelter pet gets the chance to leave the kennel behind, and more lifesaving space becomes available for animals in need.

Could Mona, Nanny May, Molly, Brenda, Carmen, Ted, Statler, Power Girl, Thelma, Henny, Chrome, or Zlata be your perfect match?

💜 Foster pet adoptions are FREE in June.
