Meet the Christmas Kitties of LifeLine’s Community Animal Center! 🎄✨

These festive felines are spreading joy, hope, and holiday magic while they wait for their perfect families. Each one has a story, a gentle spirit, and so much love to give.

❤️ Kisses – This calm, tender sweetheart has been with us for over a year and a half. She has FeLV (Leukemia) and prefers quiet companionship over being the center of attention, which means she’s often overlooked. But trust us… she’s pure comfort and peace wrapped in fur.

💙 Periwinkle – Also FeLV+, this social butterfly loves greeting every visitor with charm. He’s been adopted and returned a few times for reasons we’ll never know—but what we do know is he’s a truly wonderful cat ready for someone who will adore him forever.

💚 Bello – Our tripod king with a heart of gold. FeLV+ and endlessly sweet, he navigates life with grace, strength, and a gentle nature that melts hearts on sight.

🎁 Mystery – Once a hardworking mouser in a warehouse, now a retired gentleman hoping for a cozy indoor life. He LOVES other cats and would make an amazing companion for a lonely kitty at home. He’s adjusting beautifully to his new indoor chapter.

⭐ Silvester – This adorable boy has a slight wobble due to a past neurological condition, and it only makes him more endearing. He’s blossoming in free roam, making new kitty friends, and charming everyone he meets.

Every one of these special kitties has so much life, warmth, and love to give. FeLV+ cats can live full, happy lives. Sometimes they just need someone willing to believe in them.

This holiday season, consider opening your home to a cat who may have been overlooked, but will never overlook you.

Hi Lifeline!
Our family adopted Georgia Mae (formerly Snapdragon) through Lifeline and DeKalb on November 8th, and we couldn’t be more in love with her. She truly has the most gentle, loving personality you could ever imagine. She does wonderfully with our cats, kittens, other dogs, and genuinely seems to love everyone she meets. It’s so clear her foster family did an incredible job with her, and we are beyond grateful to have her as part of our family.

I also wanted to share a few photos of her and encourage others to consider adoption this holiday season if they are thinking about adding a furry family member to their home. It’s been the most rewarding experience for us.

Nevio had the weekend she’s been dreaming of and now we want her to have the home she deserves.

On her Weekend Warrior She trotted through the city with her happy little prance, explored every fallen leaf, took in the lakeside views like a poet, and ended each adventure with a cozy nap on soft blankets, her favorite part, obviously.

Nevio is gentle, affectionate, wonderfully curious, and so easy to love. She walks beautifully on leash, checks in constantly, and melts your heart with every look. She was the perfect weekend companion…

Leo packed his bags for a Pawlidays getaway… and absolutely thrived.

We fostered Leo from LifeLine’s Community Animal Center for a full Thanksgiving week, and this boy filled every day with sweetness, calm energy, and the kind of gentle joy that makes you rethink how you ever lived without him.

This year, more than 20,000 dogs and cats have come through LifeLine’s doors and our shelters are feeling the strain. Overcrowding stretches our resources, but your support helps us keep families together and pets where they belong: at home.
