66 dogs need homes TODAY at Fulton County Animal Services and DeKalb County Animal Services. Adoptions are free today for Take ’Em Home Tuesday, and every family who adopts or fosters a dog in our care helps open a kennel for another dog who needs us. The dogs pictured here and many more incredible companions are in our shelters waiting for you.

Jasper, formerly known as JK, was one of the many kittens who arrived at our Community Animal Center during the height of kitten season. Now he's living the good life with a family of his own!

His adopter recently shared this adorable update: "Jasper (formerly JK) is doing great! He’s so sweet and cuddly, and he loves his fur brothers and sisters. He’s got a bell on his collar so I always know where he is because he is sneaky! Jasper is a great addition to our family!"

We love seeing happy endings like Jasper's and there are still so many kittens waiting for families of their own. All adoptions are just $50 through the rest of July, so visit one of our shelters or LifeLineAnimal.org/adopt to find your new best friend.

Dave, thank you!

Thank you for loving Miss Peaches so loudly that people started seeing shelter dogs differently. Thank you for showing the world that a pittie can be soft, silly, loyal, gentle, and completely life-changing. Because of her story, people walk into our shelters hoping to find a Miss Peaches of their own, and that means more dogs get a chance to be seen.

Thank you for Pete, too, and for reminding people that every shelter pet has a story worth believing in.

But more than anything, thank you for continuing to bring LifeLine with you over the years.

You have helped more people learn who we are, what we do, and why Atlanta’s animals need people to show up for them.

That kind of support changes lives!

It helps dogs and cats get medical care. It helps pets stay safe. It helps families choose adoption. It helps our teams keep doing the work, even on the hard days.

Terzo is the kind of dog who makes every day a little brighter. He'll happily stroll by your side, stopping to sniff along the way before looking up for a treat or a few head scratches. Calm and easy to be around, he's the kind of pup who makes even an ordinary walk feel special.

Through the end of July, every sleepover supports the nationwide Foster 50 Challenge, an effort to grow foster programs and help more shelter pets experience life outside the kennel.

42 dogs across our county shelters need homes by 7pm tonight. 15 are at Fulton County Animal Services and 27 are at DeKalb County Animal Services. If they do not find placement by 7pm this evening, they are scheduled for euthanasia.

Many of these dogs are well-known and loved by our staff and volunteers after spending weeks waiting for a chance to find a home. Our county shelters have run out of space and these dogs need an adopter or foster who can give them the opportunity to show who they are outside of a kennel.
