ADOPTED! Some stories are just meant to be. Clifford’s journey began when he was taken in by a kind friend after his original owner was forced to give him up because of a landlord’s restrictions. Hoping to find him the perfect home, his temporary caretaker did everything he could, but after two months, Clifford was still spending 12–15 hours a day alone — often crated or left on the back porch. Knowing Clifford deserved so much more, he reached out to us for help.
When this sweet couple lost their beloved Golden Retriever in March, they weren’t just grieving a dog; they were missing their walking partner, their snuggle buddy, and the faithful foot warmer who had been part of their everyday life. At the same time, Clifford needed someone to give him the life he deserved. Then came the perfect match.
The moment this couple met Clifford, they fell in love. They saw not just a handsome pup, but the chance to open their hearts again. And Clifford found exactly what he’d been waiting for — a family ready for long walks, endless cuddles, and a warm furry friend by their feet once again.
His new dad works from home full-time, so the days of spending long hours alone are behind him. Instead, Clifford will have constant companionship, plenty of attention, opportunities for walks and playtime, and all the cozy naps by his favorite person’s feet. With a love for people and other dogs, we know he’s going to thrive in his new home.
