Our team will be taking a little paw-some break this Labor Day (Monday, Sept. 1st) to enjoy some well-deserved rest (and maybe a few extra belly rubs for our own pets 🐶🐱).

🎉Welcome Dr. Kimberly Merino to Our Veterinary Team!🐾

We’re thrilled to introduce Dr. Kimberly Merino, our newest veterinarian at Priest Lake Veterinary Hospital

Originally from Dalton, Georgia, Dr. Merino earned her Bachelor’s in Biology from Dalton State College and graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. 🧪🐾

Her journey in animal care includes time at shelters, wildlife rehab centers, the Chattanooga Zoo, and even a clinical rotation at the Belize Zoo! She has a strong interest in small animal and exotic medicine—including reptiles, birds, and small mammals—as well as preventative care, client education, pathology, and endocrinology.

When she's not caring for patients, Dr. Merino enjoys warm-weather adventures, gym time, movie marathons, and exploring new spots for matcha and great eats! 🍵🌞🎬

Dr. Merino’s very first day is today, and we are SO excited to have her here with us!
