🌟DOCTOR SPOTLIGHT🌟

How do we put into words how much Dr. Ollis means to us and this community?!?!?!

She is the anchor of our clinic. She is kind, warm, caring, tender-hearted. To our patients and clients she is not just their doctor, she is their friend, an extension of their family, and she takes care of them the way only a good veterinarian can!

Dr. Ollis is not only one of the best veterinarians on the planet 🌍but she is also owner, friend, mother, wife, daughter. She slays all of these roles. She does this with grace and compassion. She carries the weight of her patients care, the clinic, and her family on her back and doesn't ever slow down!

Dr. Ollis was born and raised in the Nashville area. Yup, she is one of the elusive unicorns of Nashville 🦄. She is married with two children (who aren't so little anymore). Her family means the world to her! She is committed to the community in which she grew up, giving back to it whenever possible!

We are so incredibly thankful to call her boss, friend, mentor, superwoman! Help us in telling her how awesome she is and how grateful we are to have her!💯💥

Large breed dogs with deep, narrow chests are at higher risk of bloat, also known as gastric dilatation volvulus (GDV). When a dog bloats, its stomach twists and fills with gas, which can cut off blood supply to the stomach and spleen. Bloat commonly happens when a dog ingests large amounts of food or water too quickly. Know the warning signs and be prepared in case of an emergency. Contact us at (615) 761-9448 with any questions.

Also known as the zoomies, both cats and dogs experience FRAPs, but different circumstances are more likely to trigger the behavior in one species than in the other. Feline FRAPs most often occur at dawn and dusk, though activities like grooming and using the litter box may inspire them at any hour. When does your pet have its FRAPs?

We love this fun fact! Their incredible sense of hearing allows them to pick up on sounds we often miss. It's one of the many reasons they're such great companions and helpers. Whether they're alerting us to potential dangers or simply enjoying the call of nature, our furry friends experience the world in a way that’s truly remarkable.

Today we honor and remember the heroes of 9/11/2001, two-legged and four.

We are so thankful for the people who hid themselves so that the dogs could find someone alive and keep their spirits up. We are thankful for the people who walked alongside the dogs as partners while they searched for survivors. We are thankful for the dogs that showed no fear and did not hesitate in the face of the devastation.

We will forever be grateful to those who came together to lift up and bring hope to our nation.

This common myth isn't entirely accurate! While some dogs do eat grass and may eventually vomit, studies suggest that they might actually be seeking out the fiber or simply enjoying the taste. Dogs are curious creatures, and snacking on grass could just be part of their natural behavior. Plus, it's important to ensure your pup isn’t eating treated or harmful plants while they explore! Keeping an eye on what your dog eats is key to their health and happiness. Always consult us at (615) 761-9448 if you're unsure about any behavior or if it becomes frequent!
