Ear infections can be uncomfortable for pets and may worsen if left untreated. While some signs can be easy to spot, the underlying cause is not always obvious.

If you notice signs of ear discomfort or infection, a veterinary examination can help identify the cause and determine the most appropriate treatment.

As pets age, subtle changes such as slowing down, increased thirst, or changes in appetite and sleep patterns can often point to underlying health conditions.

In this reel, Dr Tan Zhi Hao from Mount Pleasant Clementi shares common health issues we see in senior pets and the early signs to watch for. Learn how regular screenings can support earlier detection and proactive care, ensuring a better quality of life for your pet as they grow older.

🐾 Cancer affects approximately 1 in 2 dogs and 1 in 3 cats over the age of 10.

Many signs of cancer can be subtle in the early stages. Changes such as new lumps, unexplained weight loss, reduced appetite, abdominal swelling, or behavioural changes like hiding or losing interest in activities they once enjoyed should be assessed promptly, especially in older pets.

Regular check-ups and senior health screenings play an important role beyond identifying illness. They also help establish a health baseline, allowing changes to be detected earlier and providing pets with more timely care, treatment options, and a better quality of life as they age.

In senior pets, slowing down is often attributed to age but it can also reflect underlying joint discomfort.

Dr Ryan Susanto explains how arthritis develops, the early signs to watch for, and why these changes are so easy to miss. Early recognition is key to supporting mobility and ensuring your pet stays comfortable in their golden years. 🐶🐱

We were glad to be part of The Sustainable Paws Day last Saturday, organised by the Farrer Holland Neighbourhood Committee. 🐾

Our Mount Pleasant Farrer team was on site offering complimentary basic health checks for dogs who stopped by. These community outreach events give us a valuable opportunity to promote awareness of common health issues and highlight the importance of preventive care for pets.

It was a pleasure meeting so many adorable pups and their families, and supporting an event that brought the local community together. ❤️

Some things we hear about senior pets aren't always true.

From assuming they're just slowing down to thinking more frequent vomiting is part of ageing, these common beliefs can sometimes delay the care pets need.

In this video, our Mount Pleasant Clementi team breaks down a few myths and shares what to look out for.

If you've noticed changes, a SilverPaw screening can help provide clarity and support your pet's comfort as they age.
