She is currently the ONLY advanced vet practitioner in Veterinary Dermatology in Singapore. 🔥💪

This is a beating heart with an implanted device to treat congestive heart failure. ❤️

Ever since doing the first case in Singapore in 2024, Atlas Veterinary Clinic & Surgery has been helping to pioneer this cutting edge heart surgery (TEER surgery).

👉 This heart valve repair surgery is the only treatment option (and cure!) for dogs with heart failure in Singapore.

👉 Medications only provide palliative care and do not treat the underlying disease. They also cause further stress on other organs e.g. kidneys. 💊

Currently, there are only 2 vet clinics in Singapore which perform this special procedure.

Atlas Vet has been regularly performing this surgery at an average of every 2 months.

Our very own Dr Chan has been awarded the "GPCert in Feline Medicine"...
..a postgraduate certification for vets with advanced knowledge in cat health and treatment.

Our keyhole heart surgery to treat heart failure was featured in The Straits Times 📰

📢 A new advancement to treat heart disease is now available in Singapore.

Transcatheter Edge-to-Edge Repair (TEER) is a minimally invasive procedure to treat heart failure and mitral valve disease in dogs.

It offers a less invasive alternative to complex treatments like open-heart surgery.

There are fewer than 50 veterinary hospitals around the world performing this groundbreaking surgery. 🌍

And we are honoured to bring this innovative treatment to Singapore.

We are glad to be able to save from heart failure.

“Transcatheter Edge-to-Edge Mitral Valve Repair” (TEER) using V-Clamp is a new, groundbreaking treatment for heart disease in dogs.

It is minimally invasive and suitable for Mitral Valve Disease Stage B2, C and D.

After the surgery, the heart disease is reverse,d which improves quality of life.

He wrote his own TEXTBOOK in veterinary anaesthesia. 📚

Dr Daniel flew to Singapore over the weekend as a consultant for our keyhole heart surgeries. 💪🙏

He is a University Professor from Canada 🇨🇦 and veterinary specialist in anaesthesia and analgesia.

👉 Patients with Congestive Heart Failure have significant risk under general anaesthesia.

👉 He taught us new ways to optimize the patient's heart condition while under GA.

So the surgeries could proceed safely.

We are glad to share that the heart surgery patients are recovering well. 😊♥️
