This boy has never been one to shy away from a little attention. He loves the spotlight, knows exactly where the camera is and is always ready to flash that smile.

Handsome, loveable and with plenty of charm to go around, JB probably summed him up best: “If he was human, he’s the type you’d want your daughter to date.”

Say hello to Muscovado

An out-and-out stayer, Muscovado is a horse who generally prefers life in the slow lane. He’s certainly in no great hurry to get anywhere - unless, of course, it matters. 😉

When it’s time to lock in and get down to business, he knows exactly what’s being asked of him and always gives his best.

Very much a “been there, done that” kind of character, there isn’t a lot that phases him. He takes most things in his stride, knows his job and just gets on with it.
Steady, honest and dependable - that’s our Muscovado. ❤️

Meet Zenith 🐎

A Time Test gelding out of Reine de Lune, Zenith has a rather special family connection here at Bell Racing - he’s Twain’s nephew. So you could say there are some pretty big shoes to fill. 😉

He showed he’s more than ready to start making a name for himself in July, putting together a brilliant performance to win by an impressive seven lengths.

He’s an incredibly honest horse who always tries his best, and seeing that effort translate onto the track was pretty epic.

🏆 The winning streak continues!

After a bumper final week of July, the Bell Racing team has carried that momentum straight into the new season - with AFORE YE GO getting the job done at Te Rapa Racing's Season Opening Raceday on Saturday.

We’re incredibly proud of this boy and it’s always rewarding to see the work at home translate to results on the track. A huge thank you to everyone behind the scenes, and congratulations to his connections.

What a way to wrap up July🏇

All the hard work behind the scenes has paid off, and we're pretty chuffed with how the team has been performing. Two winners, a second and a third... we'll happily take that!

A special mention has to go to the race caller during Altiplano's win. We reckon he and John must be cut from the same cloth... no shortage of character, and they both tell it exactly how it is! 😂

A huge thank you to our owners, jockeys, staff and everyone who's backed the team along the way. We'll enjoy this one... Here's to plenty more days like these. 🍻🐎

Happy Birthday to our August 1 crew! 🎂🐴

One of the greatest privileges of what we do is getting to know every horse as an individual. They all have their own personalities, their own little quirks, and their own way of telling us what works best for them. No two are the same, and that's exactly what makes this job so rewarding.

Every training programme is tailored to suit the horse in front of us, helping each one grow in confidence and perform at their best - whether they're the first to the feed bin, the cheekiest in the paddock, or the quiet achiever who prefers to keep everyone guessing.

Thank you for bringing so much character (and the occasional broken finger!) to the stable. Happy Birthday, team. Here's to another year of good health, happy days and plenty of success. 🐎
