Keysar Rescue is a not-for-profit animal rescue organisation dedicated to providing a safe haven for homeless and rescued dogs and puppies until we can find them responsible, loving homes. We believe that all pets should be treated with dignity, respect, and kindness. We believe in showing compassion and working to rehabilitate abused and abandoned pets. At Keysar Rescue we educate people and our

communities about the importance of these principals as well as the importance of spaying and neutering to reduce the number of abandoned pets. We rely strenuously on donations & support from the Community so we can continue our work to keep on moving & saving the forgotten. Before you read this - step outside and tell yourself how cold it is - then imagine being chained right at the back of a farm, no food, no people and no love.

This beautiful girl was found living a life no dog should ever have to endure. Chained by the neck to farm wire. No owners. No food. No comfort. No kindness. Night after night, she howled, desperately hoping someone would hear her cries. When we arrived & offered her food, the reality of her suffering hit us hard. She was that hungry she tried to eat the plate itself. She even choked trying to gulp down a small handful of kibble because she simply didn't know when her next meal would come. (Thankfully, she was okay). There was no way we could walk away & leave her there.
Not chained. Not scared. Not cold. Not starving.
Tonight, she is SAFE.
For the next 48 hours, she has an emergency holding bay where she can finally rest without fear. Tomorrow begins the next chapter of her journey. An urgent vet appointment has been booked for a full medical assessment, blood work & to determine exactly what this sweet girl has been through. We also strongly suspect she has never been desexed, so that will be addressed as part of her care plan too.
But just look at that face...
This is likely the first time in her life she has been set free from that chain. No tension around her neck. No fear. No struggling. Just peace.

The road ahead may be long, but tonight she is warm, fed, loved & safe.
This is why we do what we do. This is why we refuse to look away. This is why we fight so damn hard even with the limited resources we have ..... and this is why we say...๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™€๏ธ "NO DOG LEFT BEHIND" ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™€๏ธ

Watching all our supporters rally around our dogs to help clear such a significant vet bill genuinely made me smile. Behind that number are real lives โ€” puppies receiving vaccinations, desexing, sick dogs getting treatment, injured dogs receiving care and future rescues who will now have a chance because the vet doors remain OPEN all because of you - YOU!!

I know it's been an emotional few weeks for me personally as well, with my mum's 1 year unveiling and everything involved in running the Rescue. To receive this kind of support from the community at a time like this is something special. It shows how many people believe in what KEYSAR RESCUE stands for and the purpose of why we're still standing today.

Tell me WHY you threw this poor pup out your window on Bairds Road, Otara in the cold? Seriously, what kind of heartless person does that? A red Honda with teenagers inside. Thankfully, Marley wasnโ€™t injured and has been seen to by a vet for medical care. 'Hey teenagers with the zero heart cells', oxygen is honestly way too good for you right now. This little pup didnโ€™t deserve any of this. Meet Marley, a survivor with so much love to give. Huge thanks to Patricia for stepping up and fostering him. People like her restore a bit of faith when others show disoriented behavior.

Ps) this was around 8am-ish in the morning if you witnessed anything or have a number plate - PLEASE MESSAGE ME ASAP.

Pss) We have no room, but we had to squeeze a tiny head through. He's safe now.... and warm... cared for.... and will get the Keysar special called "LOVE".

๐Ÿ’” Sandy needs a place to call home. Her current foster family adores her, but due to further work commitments they can no longer keep her and time is running out to find this beautiful girl the loving family she deserves.

Loving, affectionate and people-focused. Great with other dogs. Settles well into home life! Loves being with her humans. A total cuddle bug who just wants to be loved.

Sandy is eager to please, food motivated, smart and loves spending time with her people. She is the type of dog who will happily be by your side whether you're relaxing on the couch, enjoying family time or heading out on adventures.

Maddie's foster family leaves for overseas on 17th June and we urgently need a Foster-to-Adopt family or a Permanent Forever Home for her before then.

Maddie is still just a puppy, born 28th April 2025, and she has so much love to give. She is the complete package and deserves a family who will cherish her forever.

Four innocent pups were dumped on the side of the road near Southmall, right behind a bar. There was no mama dog anywhere. These poor babies were shivering and freezing cold when they were found. So a massive thanks to Sarah who stepped up without hesitation to take these little ones into foster care. They are now warm, safe, fed and cared for but itโ€™s so awful to think anyone could be so heartless to abandon them like that in this weather. Please, if you ever feel like โ€œdumpingโ€ animals you canโ€™t care for, donโ€™t do it. Reach out to the authorities or animal rescue groups instead. We are already overwhelmed and doing everything we can day by day with our 'currents', but itโ€™s tough with so many people out there doing this kind of thing. Have some compassion and responsibility โ€” these are lives weโ€™re talking about.
