Keysar Rescue is a not-for-profit animal rescue organisation dedicated to providing a safe haven for homeless and rescued dogs and puppies until we can find them responsible, loving homes. We believe that all pets should be treated with dignity, respect, and kindness. We believe in showing compassion and working to rehabilitate abused and abandoned pets. At Keysar Rescue we educate people and our

communities about the importance of these principals as well as the importance of spaying and neutering to reduce the number of abandoned pets. We rely strenuously on donations & support from the Community so we can continue our work to keep on moving & saving the forgotten. Hey Team 🐾,

Although we have a lot of dogs we're trying to push through on our end, well... there's also other dogs with a restricted clock into the unknown. I’ve just been contacted by an amazing animal control officer down at the bottom of North Island — one of the kindest hearts in the field. I won’t mention her name, but please know there’s a beautiful soul in uniform who desperately wants to save a 6-month-old mix breed pup before September 10th ... after that date, I don’t even want to think about what might happen 😔.

She’s really impressed by his social skills with other dogs and says he’s very trainable. The owner has no plans to claim him — already has two dogs and a third is just too much financially, plus the pound fees.

We all know what happens when pounds are full... an innocent life could be lost 💔. This lovely officer is determined to give him a second chance to see the good side of life.

He’s desexed, microchipped and had his first vaccinations.

What on earth would we do without the support of kind dog loving advocates like you! I mean, 'you all love dogs just as much as we do'!

Huge thankyou to Kaye & Sasha from Bed Bath & Beyond NZ for organizing so many cozy beds, fleeces, bowls and blankies for our pups. BBB truly loves backing rescues that give their ALL to the forgotten souls, so please support legends like them!

Thanks also to the family that donated all these beds and dropped them to Pukekohe Animates, I'm assuming from a family pet they'd lost recently 😔 thankyou kindly, and also to our beautiful locals along with our dear friend, Julie Waters for dropping goods, food, warm cardi's and jackets for our pups, thankyou Takanini Animates for your ongoing support and love! Thanks also to Nicole and the Team from Manukau Animates, great seeing you guys again!!!

As I was walking out of Takanini Animates, I saw a dog with her homeless owners. I left her a bed, wormer and some bickies. As rain started to kick in, I jumped back out & ran back in to buy her a warm blue jacket since nothing else fit her from the donations in the back. She was so happy and cozy now! The owner and I are meeting Monday to arrange for her to be desexed and vaccinated! 😉 Numbers were exchanged.

Later, leaving Manukau Supa Centa, I spotted another pup sleeping on bark with his owner holding a sign for food & $. I gave him a snuggly bed, blankie, jacket, bickies and wormer. Owner says, "careful, he’s no good with strangers," but he sniffed and jumped up at me for hugs! 🥰🐶. In my eyes, he was really friendly and I was honestly at peace driving back to Tuakau knowing those dogs were going to be (at least) warmer tonight than lastnight.

Everyone that donates towards Keysar is a lifelong friend of ours, a blessing to our dogs, the ministry, the 24/7 work, the pups in care and those that are no longer here with me today. We love you!

To everyone that donated from their hearts yesterday when I made a desperate plea because I know I PROBABLY WILL NEVER HAVE THE HEART TO WALK AWAY - Thankyou for carrying us on your shoulders! Not only did you donate but you carried us out of ROUGH WATERS in a time of desperation.

Hey team 💔, I’ve been pushing hard, buying lots of food for fosters this week and last, but honestly, I’m burning out fast. With so many new pups and dogs rescued, the costs keep piling up. I thought I had enough funds tucked away for them, but then an unexpected medical expense hit, like an amputation-level cost for a leg 🦵💔.

We have over 23K followers and if just $1 each could come through, it would mean the world to us 🙏. I’m sorry, I thought I could handle this alone, but I can’t. I need to ask for help 💔.

I have to draw the line now with bringing in more pups and this is the part where I loose sleep! Life with so many under my care is incredibly expensive, and while I have all the love in the world for them, that love doesn’t cover the bills + food 🐾.

I’m nobody with a cape without you all 💖. Please do what you can to help keep me afloat in this tough time.

If you live in Maraetai, please keep an eye out for Annie 🐾, our rescue who just found her forever home few days ago 💔. The contractor accidentally left the gate open and Annie got out. Her new mum is heartbroken and can’t stop crying 😢. Please help us find her! She's run off from Te Pene & Seaview Road and has been spotted in Omana Reg. Park area, rangers have been informed also🙏. New mum doesn't want to leave the park, but it closes at 7pm 🥹. Annie will be cold and scared, so any help with sightings will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Team 😭

Hey everyone 💔, I’m really hoping Maddi and Koey won’t need to be re-fostered again, but sadly, worst case, we might have to. Their current foster family is selling their home and needs time to renovate starting mid-September, so the pups sadly need to move 😞.

We’re reposting them now because they have literally just 2 weeks left to find their forever homes 🏡. They’ve been together since they were 4 weeks old and are now 17 weeks. Both get along great with other dogs (calm intros) and pups 🐶, cats are untested but I’m 90% sure with supervised intros, they'll do fine 🐱.

Maddi and Koey are house and crate trained, food motivated, easy to train and walk well both on and off leash. They’re fantastic with kids, toddlers and adults — perfect family pets for committed homes only ❤️.

I get it 1%, but I don't get it 99%. 🥺 If you gave a dog a home as a puppy or teen, that dog felt your oath — it became their security blanket! 🐶❤️ If you’re relocating and have tried everything from family, friends, shelters and still *can’t* take your dog with you, then live in a car, live in a van until something comes up, do whatever it takes. 🚗🏕️ But please, don’t ever give up on your dog. You can lose friends, go through bad relationships and broken marriages, but who’s always there? That dog. That same puppy who felt your silent promise who's now alot older. 💔🐕

Today alone, I’ve gotten 36 messages, 4 saying they’d kill their dog. That’s why I always ask for the dog’s location at first — if I can’t help and hear that, know the police will be involved 😡. Please, think twice before getting a dog if you’re not ready for the commitment. 🙏🐾

We've managed to save these 4 pups 🐶 who are now safe in foster care. Plus, 2 older dogs 🐕‍🦺 about to be picked up tonight by one of our amazing supporters! The 4 pups were found thread-knotted in a potato sack, struggling to breathe on top of each other, about to be tossed over the Otahuhu bridge ramp 😢. No joke. I wish this was just a nightmare, but this is the harsh reality we’re facing in this country right now. It’s the worst I’ve ever seen. This is the brutal heart breaking truth of what our dogs endure every single day. Imagine being one of them in this situation, unable to speak. You bark to try and communicate, but people just call it aggressive when all you want is to be heard and loved 💔.

😔 Just another poor pup found running after his owner’s vehicle in Otahuhu. We’re seriously full right now, but just as the windy rain kicked in, I couldn't say no 😔, so this little guy got a warm doggy wash and is now snug as a bug in foster care. Huge thanks to Nicky for saying YES last minute — I know, I know, strangle me later 🙈 because you already have two of our big dogs!

At least Darth (yes, from Star Wars 😆) will be getting lots of love tonight, staying warm, dry and safe off the streets. Feeling grateful but so heartbroken for all the pups out there...

Wish I had a magic wand to flatten every Tyre that leaves their dog behind.
