I am entering my ⭐️ Boss Girl Era 🌷 as I will be taking over the practice while Dr Tim Montgomery will be stepping back from clinical work as he follows a new pathway working for Randlab in a commercial and educational role. I will really miss working together daily but look forward to some of the exciting things we can collaborate on in the future.

While initially a little overwhelmed at the thought of running a business on my own I have realized that joining a corporate would not suit the personalized care and client relationships I enjoy delivering. I have always cringed when I see NZ profits being taken off shore or individual care being turned into ‘standard protocols’ ! I have a vision of a boutique equine 🐴clinic that caters for your whole horse, has pragmatic and transparent service and amazing client relationships.

I have prioritized finding a dynamic team of veterinarians and support staff who are nothing short of amazing and have a diverse range of skill sets that has your horses veterinary and health care needs covered from routine health care such as dentistry 🦷through to advanced lameness 🦶work ups and exercise performance metrics 🩸

Injecting this girls stifle after a meniscus injury with 20 million stem cells. Go you little minions and start repairing!

Stem cells have fantastic regenerative capabilities. This is her second injection of stem cells and her scan is looking 👍

We need a gemstone name for this little beauty. She's going to go grey and her sisters are called Diamond 💎and Emerald 💚

I couldn't have been more thrilled with the safe delivery of her. I've been involved with 1000's foals but still get a thrill each and every time I get to meet one I've helped create.

🌸Welcome to our new practice manager Kirsty🌸

A lifelong friend, I first met Kirsty when I was a new grad working at Auckland Vets. Kirsty has a vet nursing and management background and is incredibly efficient, pragmatic and most importantly the most fun person to work with.

She has a self professed 'Speyman Zoo' which includes Cats on Reid, a boutique cattery, her beautiful selection of horses including home bred (with the help of us!) Donut and Daisy. A staffy, a sausage dog 🌭and our work mascot; Alfie the rescued Frenchie. Last but not least she is the Queen of all things chicken 🐓and runs a chicken health care side hustle.

Meet Ingeborg

Ingeborg is a Dutch born genius who has been in NZ since she was 13.

She started her vet career with an internship at Matamata equine before spending 5 years working in the bay of islands, where she accumulated 3 northland bush ponies.

Ingeborg has a holistic view to her care, always looking at your horse as a whole. She is also certified to perform acupuncture and electro-acupuncture which is a useful adjunct to transitional treatments as well as being a very useful performance enhancing tool as it only has a 24hr withhold. It's especially great for back pain.

Ingeborg and her animal family are settled into Karaka and we are excited to have her as part of our dynamic performance equine team.
